im not saying that the game isnt fun, but i guess i shouldnt have bought this knowing its a horde team based shooter like many others i have played before, just feels like an old repetetive formula that has been made a million times before... ill prob just stick to back 4 blood

a few hours in and it seems immersive and engaging, but the storytelling feels messy, and im not sure what this game actually wants to be, it feels extremely ambitious but it actually doesnt seem to master anything, not to mention theres a heapful of bugs and glitches.

i cant say its a bad game but its in a bit of a rough state, im glad i waited a month to play it because i imagine it was worse on release. it seems like the type of game you take your time with, like RDR2, its pretty nice.

edit: i am now in chapter 4. this game is a complete mess.
this is basically ubislop but even worse, this game is like that one guy who has way too many hobbies and skills yet excels in literally nothing, he has this nice first impression of being a man of many talents but he actually doesnt have much to show for any of what he claims to be skilled at.

this game takes the quantity over quality approach to an extreme, even AC valhalla cowers in fear of this game. crimson desert wants to be EVERYTHING, but it ends up being NOTHING. every quest is way too complicated because the game doesnt make a very good introduction of the powers you have, and every tutorial is a whole book to read. the story never really picks up and the mystery and immersive world cant carry a buggy glitchy game that makes itself way too complicated than it shouldve been.

crimson desert is prime ubislop in masquerade of a sophisticated RPG. crimson desert is not sophisticated, it only pretends to be, i genuinely dont understand why people praise this game and not assassins creed shadows, because they are essentially the same.

Basically, Last of Us but scifi...

Not basically, a really fun ARPG that combines father-daughter dynamic, sleight of hand and amazing destruction. this game takes something that is very simple and turns it into something new, altho, in too long bursts could potentially feel stale over time.

Honestly, this was a big surprise to me, i love games that seem unusual and weird/different 5 hours in and its been quite a ride so far

5 hours in, the story premise and writing are really corny, reminds me of helldivers and gotham city impostors combined into one. kind of an ironic take on current day western politics and capitalism, which tbh is a really tiring topic because i use videogames to get away from all that...

regardless the gameplay is great, the worlds are charming and the characters are somewhat likable, the shooting is fluid and i like the selection of available skills. it reminds me of a simplified fallout game with scifi elements.

massive improvement over the first game, and the irony-fuelled storytelling fits the artstyle and world building, but tbh i feel like the devs would prob kill and brutally torture my family and friends if they could.

EDIT:
this game has a bug that was never fixed where you cant save the game, braindead developers. really regret spending my money on this AI UE5 slop, western gaming truly is dead, holy fracking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Honestly, one of the best games of this generation. Peak cinema and an extremely videogamey videogame.

Theres nothing like watching 2 miserable guys who lost everything have a cheesy rock battle while the world is ending...

I loved Death Stranding 1 and then the second game really took it off to insane heights, I cried, it was truly amazing and if you have appreciation for videogames and the art of videogames, you must play this game (and ofc the first one too), this is not only one of the greatest games of this generation but also an incredible homage to videogames as a whole and as an art form.
I really cant recommend this game enough.

first impressions after 10 hours: its a good ninja gaiden game, but i expected something more.

they rehashed a 2 decade old formula which has been not only overdone since but also left in the past and improved upon for obvious reasons. this game suffers from an overload of fat slop enemies with lack of variety that take way too long to kill, i need more bosses and less slop, it feels like the game is artificially made longer because you keep killing hordes of the same enemies for hours on end.

ive come to the realization that NG is in its foundation just a worse devil may cry that forgot that its over 2 decades old, which is a bit of a shame since the bosses, character interactions and story are very well done.

i got to play an excellent piece of gaming history.

for some reason this feels better than the 2002 remake does,
as usual, remakes are 85% of the time a total downgrade!

Writing this as I've finished the game, this game definitely deserves the cult status it has, what an amazing expeirence was to play this game.
