Top notch port. Runs extremely well. Played on PS4 a couple years ago and I am excited to replay it with better graphics and 100+fps.

What an incredible experience. You're a broken man trying to make sense of himself while trying to solve a murder. But it becomes so much more. You dwell on politics, racism, loss, grief, and addiction. You witness oppression and income disparity and how these impact the lives of ordinary citizens.

I went in with very high expectations and was still amazed. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Let's get the bad out of the way first. Typical Bethesda stuff like occasional bugs and poor optimization.

But I'm having fun. I like exploring and scavenging in an apocalyptic setting. I like shooting mutants and crafting guns. The game is much more fleshed out after wastelanders.

What an amazing game. Huge respect for From Software for shedding themselves of the Souls games and delivering another challenging, yet completely new action game.

Repeat after me: "This is not a Souls game". Dont think like you're playing a Souls game. Dont compare it to a Souls game. You cant just spam the roll button, as your dodge has no i-frames. Its all about deflecting this time around. Its been a challenge to learn, but when things go well, it looks and feels so awesome. Some of your Souls instincts will carry over, like learning enemy movesets, managing multiple enemies, and learning through failure until you succeed. Other than that, drop all your old habits.

People saying there is no leveling in this game are mostly wrong. Mostly. You dont level stats and there is no openly stated overall level. There are skill points and trees that unlock new abilities, but its still mastery of the core concepts that will carry you. Beating mini-bosses grants you items that can upgrade your core health and damage. You find new gadgets and materials to upgrade them, as well as upgrades to the number of uses. There is progression, end of story.

Game runs perfectly at max settings for me on a GTX1080 and a somewhat dated i5-4430.

I like this game because it plays a lot like Siege but on a much larger scale. Very strategic, positioning based twitch combat. I really like that it has a PvE mode as well. Combat is confusing, fast, and chaotic and requires ample spacial awareness. It's the shooter I've been looking for for years.

I'm getting minimal frame rate dips on a 1080 with everything maxed and fast vsync on. There are texture popins when I exit menues but that's not really a bother. Would recommend for those who want a more realistic shooter.

A great story and fun gameplay.
