The most original shooter that I've played since Titanfall 2. The sound design, atmosphere, gunplay, and unique mechanics are all standouts that really sell the idea of competing in this big crazy game show. I got hooked after playing the ARC Raiders alpha, and haven't looked back!

Another Embark hit! Tense, punishing but not unforgiving. For a more casual player like me it is a nice balance between challenging and rewarding, and I adore it.

(Also if you haven't played THE FINALS yet, go do that)

Frankly, even after all these years, the game is still a great time! Playing with friends is fun, and kitting out your mech and experimenting keeps the game fresh for me. It was also my introduction to Battletech, so I have a soft spot for it in that regard. If you like vehicle combat games, it's worth a shot! After all, you can't beat the low low price of free.

Early Access Review
I was so excited to see that there was another Hawken game in the works. The idea of a PvE Hawken game intrigued but also worried me, and after playing it for an hour I think with some tweaks they can get the formula to work. This is still in Phase 1 Early Access, so there's *a lot* of work to be done (settings don't work right, gameplay is not fully fleshed out, lack of weapons/mechs, and the co-op mode). But all in all, it's a promising first build and I'm excited to see where this goes!

Honestly for what it is this was a pretty cool demo. Don't go into it thinking it's a full fledged game, because it's not, as the only shooting you do is at a range in one minute intervals (lol). But considering it was made as a showcase since none of us could actually see them at CES this year (RIP) it's a really creative idea. The aesthetic is cool, the product models are detailed, and the graphics are actually pretty good. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this little showcase. (Also the fact that it responded and changed with all my Aura Sync lighting was a nice little touch)

This game stands as a shining beacon in the underdog gaming scene. At launch, it was a boring, buggy mess that disappointed just about everyone at launch. Some people called it a scam, a fraud, a way to steal people's money. But I believe that if it was truly a scam, they wouldn't have stuck with it. Four years later, Hello Games is still updating the game, adding things from small quality of life improvements to complete graphical overhauls, with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. NMS is constantly evolving and changing, making it almost unrecognizable from the way it was at launch. (Also to this day, they've done all of this without any microtransactions, loot-boxes, or any other anti-consumer nonsense. Every update has been completely free as well)

I love this game so much I literally bought it twice; once on Origin and once on Steam. Enough said.

In all seriousness though this game is truly something special. The movement is easy to learn but hard to master, the contrast between Pilots and Titans on the battlefield adds an interesting dynamic, and the campaign offers a memorable (albeit a bit short) experience. The maps are also quite cool, as they encourage wall running and enhanced movement while still feeling realistic and grounded in-universe. Respawn has done it yet again with TF2, and it more than qualifies to be in my top 3 games of all time.

Elite can be a mixed bag for a lot of people. It's grind intensive and slow, but also has great flight mechanics and a universe that's easy to get sucked into. Personally I enjoy the game a lot. As such I would recommend it to casual gamers or sci-fans alike.
