Sometimes, there are certain senses that can be somewhat misleading onto many, but not onto few.

I'm not sure where you're getting the impression that Touhou Project/Project Shrine Maiden is making me depressed. It isn't - quite the opposite, actually. Talking with others who are familiar with the doujin series is fun, and wearing the cosplay outfits that I have gets rid of some of the dysphoria I feel daily.

That said, I've just had an appointment for anxiety meds, and will be having one for apathy meds in two weeks, so those should help. I still need a new job, of course, as well as a friend I can live with comfortably, but that'll arrive with time.

Because this obsession with 'Touhou' isn't necessarily helping as a permanent solution, and you know it. That may explain the depression and anxiety starting to increase overtime. Yet there is an alternative that 'should' restore your sanity, your health, and your mind.

It can sometimes be good to ask questions at any level if something seems confusing or if something doesn't seem to be lining up. A lot of times, people on both sides don't know that there are things that are not being communicated. If your professionals are unable to answer questions that seem pertinent, you can ask for contact information for people or services with likely pertinent information. Also, it should be noted that although I may sound like a professional or expert, I am not. My research has been mostly limited to my own situations and the exploration thereof. I cannot express enough the importance of discussing these things with someone that is more knowledgeable about your specific situation.

Foods are usually a safe thing to try, but can often affect medications. Also, if you do start adding extra cinnamon or other foods to your diet, it is generally a good idea to do just a little, at first at least, and gauge any possible reactions in your self. If your medication(s) have a list of foods to avoid or limit, it would be good to review it and potentially check if any of them are in your regular diet (if you haven't already) as that could be inhibiting the effectiveness of the medication. This is another thing that I have noticed that doctor-type professionals are sometimes not privy to and falls to the pharmacist to adequately explain to patients that a lot of times don't know the extensive details.

Foods that reduce levels of the pac-men include cinnamon, oregano, nutmeg, apples, berries, grapes, kale, onions, and green tea. Of course, since you are taking medications, you should discuss things that affect the pac-men or possibly monoamine oxidase with your health care professionals, especially if you are taking MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) because if they are trying to lessen the effect of monoamine oxidase, then reducing their consumers would be counterproductive. Either way, you may want to bring up the information I have presented here with your healthcare professionals unless they have already discussed things like this with you, because I have experienced numerous professionals that were not aware and it could be possible that I have gotten something mixed up. It is important to keep in mind that not all depression is the same, not all depression is caused by the same sources, and not all depression manifests the same.

Darn, sunlight can be super helpful. I don't know how dark it is there, but sometimes even scattered sunlight can help a little. Iodinized salt has helped me in the past with ineffable depression, so I thought I would offer it as a possibility. Cinnamon helps to reduce the numbers of the little pac-men type things in the brain that eat some neurotransmitters that some people suffering from depression (especially depression that they can't explain, if I remember correctly) may not be getting enough of where it is needed. (More simply put -maybe-, there are neurotransmitters in the brain that need to get to the other side of the synapse or whatnot, there are little pac-man looking things that eat these neurotransmitters -possibly monoamine oxidase, some people suffering from some kinds of depression seem to have high levels of the pac-men and therefore have too much of the neurotransmitter eaten and not enough makes it to the other side/receiver.)

Sunlight's impossible to get currently, since, well, winter's up and about, and I'm not sure what iodinised salt and cinnamon would do, though I have plenty of the latter.
