Not too far in yet, but you can already tell this game won’t get the recognition it deserves. It’s a hidden gem. unique, charming, and absolutely worth experiencing. For around 10 euros, it’s an easy recommendation. You won’t regret picking this one up.

Persona 5 Strikers was a huge letdown for me, especially coming from the masterpiece that was Persona 5. The game takes a sharp turn from its JRPG roots and tries to blend in action-RPG mechanics with Musou-style combat, but it just doesn’t work. The combat system, while flashy at first, quickly overstays its welcome. Battles drag on and on, and unless you're prepared to grind, your damage output will feel pitiful. This grind-heavy progression kills a lot of the fun, turning what should be fast-paced, satisfying combat into a tedious chore.

Compared to Persona 5, everything feels cheaper and less polished. The environments aren’t as detailed, the story lacks the same depth, and the side content feels like filler. Even the charming elements from the original game, like social interactions and character development, are watered down.

The biggest dealbreaker for me was a stealth section where you play as a non-Phantom Thief character. This part of the game was outright awful. It was so clunky and out of place that it made me quit the game and uninstall it right after. It was the final nail in the coffin, confirming that Persona 5 Strikers just wasn't worth my time.

If you're a fan of Persona 5, temper your expectations. This isn't a worthy sequel — it’s a frustrating spin-off that misses the mark on what made the original great.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is a difficult game to evaluate. On one hand, there are many elements I enjoy, but there are just as many decisions that leave me scratching my head.

Visually, the game is stunning; however, the performance is where it falls short. Despite having a high-end PC that handles most games on high settings at a steady 60 FPS, I experienced significant stuttering and FPS drops, even on the lowest settings. This kind of performance issue detracts heavily from the experience.

Story-wise, the game stays true to the original, which I appreciate. But when it comes to the combat, it feels too action-heavy, making it feel more like Resident Evil 4 Remake than the psychological horror experience Silent Hill is known for. Even the settings menu seems to have been directly lifted from Resident Evil 4, which feels like a strange design choice for a game trying to carve its own identity.

While I’m enjoying my time with the game overall, the numerous technical issues and design choices make it hard to fully appreciate. There’s potential here, but it’s marred by some frustrating problems that I just can’t overlook.

Edit: I've now completed the game, and although I still agree with many of the critiques I mentioned, I must admit that Team Bloober created something special. It's been a long time since a piece of media made me ugly cry, but the ending of this game managed to do just that. It made me reflect on my own fears of losing the love of my life, and the emotional impact hit me hard.

When I first played the original Silent Hill 2, I was too young to fully appreciate the ending. I knew it was good, and I liked it, but now, as an adult, the emotional weight feels entirely different. Bravo, Team Bloober—you really did it.
