Early Access Review
This game does great job of imitating the suspense of real life room clearing with the added level of complexity of having to positively identifying your targets while still maintaining some arcade-y fun. best played with friends.

This game is a true gem. It's horrendous start seems to keep this game under appreciated in most mainstream circles and I honestly didn't know about it until a certain youtuber started talking about/would never shut up about his bird squad and next thing I knew I was knee deep in this game and am loving every minute of it.

PROS:
-1Char=Any class. 1 Character can aquire and play as every class, no need to make one character for each class and this allows a player to "hotswap" classes as opposed to logging out, changing chars, logging back in

-Recruit a friend. While this is only noticed if you dragged a buddy into your addiction, this feature is great because it truly rewards you for getting other players and the rewards greatly help the sherpas out there (2 person chocobos bro)

-Environment. I haven't reached 50 and touched Heavenward yet but just the starting areas are truly beautiful. I run the game on max and there are SO many little details they put in to this game that make it feel more open world RPG than MMO. Whether it be the realtime weather (w/ physics (ftw)), The godrays and dynamic shadows, the very subtle character physics (it took me getting a 4k monitor to even notice the boob physics, needless to say, I was disapointed with myself), The amazing foliage (it's not Witcher 3 levels but its pretty close to modded skyrim), the cities/towns and NPCs in them... I could go on but you get my point

-Armors and weapons. I'm much more of an armor guy myself (whats the point of doing it if you dont look good doing it), but both the weapons and armor are really stunning. they base stuff is typical medieval platemail and leather but then you get into some scifi sh!t, I saw a bow that, when drawn, deploys a shield because why not. Some weapons are just light, so whatever your kink, they got you covered

-mounts. if you want a plain ol' horse you came to the wrong game, but, if you wanted a giant 2 story tall mecha chocobo or a flying eyeball with wings, then boy your in for a treat. (side note: each mount (for the most part) has their own music and thats just a really nice subtle addition that they didn't need to add)

CONS:
-Mounts (or lack there of). You have to get a permit to ride a mount, but you have to join a grand company to get the permit, but you have to be alteast 25-30 to join a Grand company... I hope you like cardio. I had 5 mounts by the time I could actually ride one, to be fair, most of them were from events, game time "veteran" rewards, and recruit a friend rewards but still... I WANNA RIDE THE CHOCOBO

-1st Person. This game has a 1st person option, and that's cool, but its obvious they intended for people to play in 3rd. There is nothing when in 1st, you don't have a body, theres no head bob, you dont see your weapon or the visual effects/cues from your attacks. Overall just disapointing, especially with the rise of VR and my desire for a SAO-esq future

-Spam bots. I know every game has them and that there are MMOs out there that are WAY worse but it is hard to read pub chats when totally obvious "get tons of mooney for free" ads pop up in the chat box. but thats honestly just a minor preference issue

Well I hope this "totally" not biased review helps some of you that are on the fence about this game. I know subscritions are a turn off but the quality I've gotten was more than worth it, assuming you're going to play the game more than not at all.
