A fun arcade racer that reminds me lightly of games like F-Zero, Redout, and other futuristic paced racers. The game has a bit of a learning curve, but the story mode will help you get acclimated to everything as you play. I personally don't mind the price as I love the game, but if you're not as into these types of games as others are, wait until a sale to pick it up. You won't be disappointed.

While playing as Piastri, I got a team order saying to let Lando pass despite being 3 seconds ahead of him and in first place with 3 laps left.

Nice to see the game is reflecting the current season.

Obligatory "this is a ridiculous practice that will continue to go on even though no one supports it" review.

Off to a rocky start with the bad optimization (3080ti, 11900K, and can't even hit 60FPS on low settings), there are guides to help increase your FPS such as using lossless scaling among other tweaks to get the most out of your game, but this level of bad optimization is unacceptable. Not being able to run it on the highest graphics is one thing, but the game not even being able to hit 60 FPS on the lowest settings with hardware that a few years ago would've been more than enough for high/ultra settings in most games is ridiculous.

Complaining about the optimization aside: the fights - while easier - are still fun to go through and I'm having a great time.

I am however sick of after every single story quest you are forced to take a long walk to where the monster is lurking while listening to the NPC's drone on about the story which I haven't taken an interest towards in the slightest. Having come right off of Rise/Sunbreak which had a very barebones story but was perfect for the kind of series MH is. The constant artificial waiting before being able to get to a fight or even just explore the world has frustrated me more than the poor optimization. I'm not here for a story that is constantly wasting my time, I'm playing this game to fight monsters in a world that is fun explore. I'd rather do the dang gathering quests from the older games than have to spend 3 minutes every quest not being able to do anything but be stuck on a predetermined path where all I can do is grapple various items.

An amazing DLC to compliment the full game. The missions are all solid and for the low price of the DLC if you even slightly enjoyed the main game you don't have an excuse not to play these missions.
