So, I've had this game in my library for years, and I've occasionally come across favorable comments about its storyline, the director's glazing, or popular cosplays and art of 2B. So I finally decided to play it. Why not, right?

TL;DR The game is very average, with many aspects done on 20%, but it touches on a pretty cool niche topic and has its moments, although there is a noticeable drop in writing quality between the beginning/middle and the end of the game. The gameplay itself is an interesting mix of slasher, light suls, rpg, bullet hell that's not bad, but not particularly good either, it is a 6/10. Legend says that 2B's hips are so big because she single-handedly made this game a success.

Let's start with the fact that the game has control issues, making it unplayable with a keyboard and mouse without a mod that fixes it. It turns out that when porting to PC, ensuring proper control on PC was not a priority. And it's not just one or two bugs, but the mini-games have partially non-functional controls, which causes some invisible walls, someone bound the dodges (which you have to do a lot) to the movement keys that you have to press twice. Yes, you really have to press, for example, A+A while running backwards and pressing S. In addition, there is something wrong with the character's movement when the camera changes the forced position and there is a kind of lag.

Cons:
-The tutorial is the worst tutorial I've ever seen. If you mess up, you have to replay the entire 30-minute sequence from the beginning.
-The UI is a strange mix of game and launcher, really hard to read and navigate despite pretending to be a “system” of some kind. In addition, the NPCs themselves have information about it throughout the game, so I guess even the authors themselves knew it wasn't good.
-The minimap is a nightmare, an inaccurate 3D projection that you have to switch to 2D every time, and it resets.
-The side quests might as well not exist, 5 or more of them were the same: someone got lost, will you look for them? -> oh, they died, I knew it -> here are some basic materials, 1000g and 1500exp.
-None of the side quests have any consequences or even influence the main storyline.
-There is no quest tracker, even though NPCs don't tell you the location, you have to check it on the in-game map, which is styled like an Android interface, which is not only strange but should be punishable by imprisonment
- Everything that is not related to the main storyline has textures between 144p and 480p. The main storyline is 720p.
- There is a limit of 99 items, while one of the achievements is to max out the upgrade of each weapon.
- Potions last either 15, 30, or 60 seconds, which is ridiculous considering they are only useful against bosses.
- The game features high-quality chips marked with a diamond. Of course, quests don't give them to you; you have to drop them, which is random. I'm level 82 when I finished the game and still don't have even one level 8 chip with a diamond.

Mixed:
-The weapon play itself is quite sterile, adding a shockwave chip to practically anything makes it a good weapon, strengthening the weapon's level itself does not give much except at the beginning of the game, but level 4 adds a skill that can be very OP.
-This is literally a grinder.
-There is a strange balance between the character's level and the actual power of the chips you use, as well as a limit on the maximum values increased by the chips. I understand exp or drop, but why running speed or attack power? Why can't you make a glass cannon or an android that runs at 300%? If your level is higher than your opponent's, it suddenly becomes easy. On the other hand, when you are underleveled, your opponents suddenly gain ridiculous levels of damage resistance.
- Boss fights are there... some are tedious, some are quite spectacular.
- Teleporters are available so late.
- The wild boysband duo suddenly appears out of nowhere.
- Bro, there are aliens... oh, ok - disappointment.
- Bro, there is council of humanity... oh, ok - disappointment.
- Fishing... disappointment.
-Armored boars and deers... why.
-There are literally 6 more developed side characters: 6O, 21O, Pascal, Emil, and the twins. That's not very many for a game that deals with the feelings of machines and androids. You could also fit their lines on an A4 sheet of paper.
-The storylines leading to endings C, D, and E are a bit like watching season 3 of that initially cool Netflix series.
-The minor endings are either silly jokes or mission abandonment, maybe 3 of them are worth the effort.
-There are many plot holes, such as why leave a large functioning enemy factory alone and keep coming back to it. Why are other androids weaker than a 1m machine that can barely jump, but as opponents they are suddenly 20 times stronger? Why are buildings buried under earth but roads are not, why are there cars from 1920 and school buses from 1980 on the streets?

Pros:
-The design of the androids is really cool. Wet clothes. Nice.
-The design of the machines, although it may seem simple at first, surprisingly has a reason and also many variations.
-The English voices are very pleasant.
-The operators are quite nice supporting characters.
-Pod 042 for the MVP, I love Pods.
-The minigames with hacking and the ability to take over opponents is well done and adds interesting variety to the game.
-Recovering the bodies of other fallen players is quite a cool concept.
-Automatic elevators.
-You can ride animal and knock bots with it.
-The storylines leading to endings A and B are the best, you can see that the author put the most effort into this segment, which cannot be said about the subsequent ones, which have quite a few logical gaps.
-Telling the same story from a different perspective with additional information is done quite well.
-The game touches on some philosophy from the perspective of machines and androids. It's interesting quite naive but intresting.
-One of the most fun end credits I've seen, which also breaks the fourth wall.

If you want to try it, play the main story without doing any side quests on your first playthrough (it'll take a few hours). If you don't like it, it won't get any better.

Can not recommend this game, it is something below the demo in real gameplay. You literally get what is in the trailer + the possibility of reducing the size of the screen as a harder mode. 3/10

Honestly, I am surprised to about 90% of the game seemed to me that in addition to very nice art and style is rather average while the whole sequence of the ending and the choice significantly raised my rating. A really solid game.

Actually the concept and art is really good. I would give it an average rating if possible. However, balance and useless NPCs spoil everything. This is a game that has its own progression pattern and you can only decide how quickly you want to complete it (recruiting a large number of NPCs). All the rest will either bring nothing in reality or will even result in a loss of pne side which is practically impossible for to defend due to snowball.

Quite a well-rounded continuation, slightly more complex than the first part. Some puzzles, however, do not lead to the next ones intuitively 8/10

Early Access Review
Interesting approach to this type of game. A bit lacking in content so far. Affordable price. So far, so good

Throughout my 160h+ gameplay, EA provided me with:

-Invalid Orgin servers making it impossible to turn on the game 2 times
-Hidden first install of their new EA app and removal of Orgin without asking + once again impossible to turn on the game for 1 day
--When I changed their app because it was buggy back to Orgin then a week later they ended support for it without fixing the bugs in the new app
-Lack of recording achivments in their new application that no one asked for in ME2 and ME3 until every game I deleted LocalHost in game saves
-Constant error with sychronization of cloud saves of their new EA app

10/10 I really had a great time searching every week in the discussion hub how to fix another future which did not work. The only thing that wiped away my tears was that several hundred other people also had the same problems. Damn, can't you EA guys, I don't know, get the duck away from me and just let the game launch?

Probably the most visually interesting game I've seen so far. On top of that, it's an interesting story bordering on insanity and dark reality. In fact, it's kind of like playing an extended Tim Burton movie.

The platform game segment has some interesting mechanics (especially with Alice's size changes) and prompts the player to use them in turns while exploring the well-crafted levels. The hack and slash elements are spectacular for such an old game.

The only thing that didn't work out quite right was the use of blocks in connection only with targeting an opponent and not freely during the game.

I definitely got what I paid for, and this is probably one of the few times where I felt like I robbed the publisher for such a small price

+ You can easily unlock 60+ fps, scaling to ultrawide and improved graphics by changing the config
