My favorite games are not going to fit here, I like to put myself in the developer's shoes at 100% of the time so I can understand their choices/decisions. Some of my truly most epic favorites are Final Fantasy(old ones)+ XI, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Command and Conquer(series), Mass Effect(series), Dragon Age(series), Age of Empires/mythology/etc. Portal & Portal II, Uncharted(series), The Elder Scrolls(series), I could literally go on forever and in no particular order whatsoever.
