I love this game and its really satisfying to play levels over and over again as you slowly discover more and improve your skills, but I just can't recommend it for how awfully it was monetized.

When you buy this game, a full priced AAA game, you still don't get all the content that is part of the game. Certain unlocks are locked behind a paywall, unique unlocks that are required if you want to get into the speedrunning community (although there are workarounds). Some entire levels are locked behind a paywall, even after you paid for the game! Not as bad as Stellaris, but it still feels scummy. Maybe other people wont care about this as much, but its actually impossible to get every achievement without spending money. There are ones for completing the dlc levels, making 100% literally impossible. Overall, the experience feels incomplete, and although I feel respected as a player while in game, I don't feel respected as a customer.

The content that is included with this game is amazing, and I feel bad for the designers and developers who worked so hard to make this game, who had their game somewhat corrupted. I wish steam would let you leave a more precise review than just yes or no. Definitely worth playing, but I just can't bring myself to fully recommend to a friend.

Fun when it works properly, but I can't recommend it with it's countless major and minor bugs.

Amazing story. If you believe in games as a medium for storytelling, you will love this game.

The only game I've played where you can kill people by throwing a gun at a wall and hoping the gun hits the wall at the perfect angle to shoot someone from around the corner.

50 hours in the last two weeks, only playing casual, not a single bot in sight!!! (although maybe one cheater)

There are still lots of things Valve could easily do to improve the game, and it is disappointing to see the lack of changes, but at least it is still playable, and still just as fun as it was years ago.
