The original Slay the Spire was already a phenomenal game that helped define the Rogue Like Deck Builder genre.
Slay the Spire 2 is that plus new characters, built in multiplayer, interesting new lore about the world and beautiful new art all around for the characters, cards and environments.
As if that wasn't already good enough they're still actively improving and adding more things as part of the early access period and even have an adorable feedback screen. (Press F2 while you're in game, it's very nice!)
What more could I *possibly* ask for?

A wholesome little game that does a very good job of portraying the struggles of people in the LGBT+ community.

Didn't hit me with any huge emotions or anything but did help me feel seen and like maybe the world can be a little bit more kind than you'd think it is.

I'm definitely going to check out the full version when I get the chance.

I've gone through phases playing Risk of Rain 2 and the new updates have given me a chance to introduce it to new friends and get back to playing it again. It's a lot of fun, and I can highly recommend it as a fun co-op experience and a challenging solo experience.

Sniper was my favorite character in the original so I was excited to see Railgunner show up. Fun content!

Had a few minor issues at first but turned around to be a really good update. Gave me a chance to get back into the game and introduce it to some new friends, and we've had a lot of fun. Looking forward to what comes next!

Squirrels.

If you like GBA era Fire Emblem games then you'll like this. It may be a little rough in some spots but it's come a long way, and you can really feel the love and effort that was put into it.

It's GBA era fire emblem with all the great pixel graphics that entails and a story to match.
If you like that then you should definitely play it.

Third verse, same as the... rest?

I left most of what I had to say on my review for the first game, so if you want more of that, then that's what you get.

Beautiful animation, fantastic story, even got a pretty strong emotional reaction out of me and I'm not usually the type to get emotional like that over anything, let alone games.

If you like strategy games and like a good story then check it out, I doubt you'll regret it.

Second verse, same as the first. One of my favorite game series of all time, hands down.

If you like really lovingly crafted animations, good stories, and tactical strategy games then you'll love it.
