Got it in this month's Humble Choice.

Fairly simple, short, puzzle game. Nothing to write home about but a good relaxing game for 4-5h.
Sound design, animations and art style are pretty good but I would have liked a bit more ambient music.
The puzzles are fairly easy, you won't get stuck on anything for hours.

I wasn't intenting to play this game... I completely fell for the hype on release...

And oh boy was it worth it !!
Even though I haven't had time to finish it, this is the most fun, most engaging game I have played in a looooong time !
It is up there challenging The Witcher 3 for my favorite game of all time...

Everything has been said about it already, if you're even remotely intersted in RPGs of ANY kind, you have to give this a try !

I have to add, the amount of content Larian is adding to the game, for FREE ! Means they absolutely deserve the praise they got !

I mean it is Dwarf Fortress... Anything and everything can and WILL happen !
If you're ready for that You're not ready for it, but remember, Loosing is fun

I played this game so much for free, it's only fair to the dev for me to pay for it now

[EDIT] This review has been negative since the release of SoC, i'm truning it back up because recent updates and the latest DLC shows they are still willing to put some effort in developping the game. And it is in a better state, even if there are still issues [/edit]

I have been a fan of Total War since the release of Shogun 1 back in 2000 !

I have bought almost every TW game since... (not Attila, I was too salty about my collector edition preorder of Rome 2 and the release state of that game)

Total War Warhammer and esp. Warhammer 2 were absolutely great additions to the franchise. Expanding campaign and battle mechanics in very interesting and fun ways. And while the total cost of the DLCs may seem high, I bought all of them on release and had fun with each and every one of them, and I felt I had my money's worth out of them.

Warhammer 3's release wasn't fantastic, while very playable, some design choices made the campaign... not very fun... But the release of Immortal Empires (the combined map of all 3 games), the champions of chaos and chaos dwarfs DLCs were steps in the right direction. Even if they upped the price, I was ok with it because they had a good amount of content.

But I haven't bought Shadows of Change. They are not giving the game the support it deserves... With very easy-to-fix MAJOR bugs staying in the game for months ! (Nakai, a DLC lord, not being able to recruit Kroxigors is the prime example of that)
Then CA milking their customers by increasing the price while also providing less content (no regiments of renown) and then on top of that threatening their customers to stop supporting the game if they don't buy DLCs !!!! That was the final staw for me...

Does the game deserve so much hate ? no
Is the game unplayable ? absolutely not
What I don't recommend is supporting CA's sh***y business practices
They need to understand that people would be willing to give them money if the support for the game, the content quality and quantity was enough. But, milk the cow too hard, without feeding it enough, and the cow will die...

Not as good as XCom but still worth playing if you get it on a discount

The game is not bad, the campaign mechanics are great, especially the new diplomacy system. And I hope future titles keep going in that direction. The weakest part of the game are the battles, which didn't see much improvement and with a setting that lacks unit variety, the battles suffer from the comparison with warhammer in that aspect.

But the fact that CA decided to drop the game without having fleshed out everything they could have, without releasing content they said they would do... means I cannot recommend this game. And CA deserves all the backlash they are getting.
(And I have been a fan of the franchise since I bought Shogun 1 as a kid)
