The fluid dynamics elevate this excellent colony sim to new heights- offering something you can't get anywhere else. Beware, you may go on cute beaver video binges (of the animal, of course) before you know it

It's a good game I'm sure, but be prepared to work for it. Many aspects, including the shoehorned story, dogsh*t performance, and confusing invite system will actively bring down enjoyment. I haven't played with friends yet, but it seems to be the same repeat of MHW's massive misstep of breaking the flow of multiplayer by requiring story steps to be progressed. Capcom fixed this wrong with Rise, learned nothing and repeated the same mistake again. I love Monster Hunter, and I no doubt will get enjoyment from this game but DAMN was I expecting more on release.

Great game! The overarching story and breaks between missions do a great job of keeping you invested, and the gameplay loop is very satisfying. Doing one last walkaround after a cleanup to see all your work is very satisfying. Only thing I can really complain about is that the voice acting is mediocre, and hammy in some parts, but it grew on me over time (it has a campy sort of charm).

Give it a try! The game will probably have you hooked before the 2-hour refund window expires so you'll know for sure whether or not it's your jam.

I give Crime Scene Cleaner a 9.5 / 10
DLC SOON PLEASE :D

TL;DR: great game, but be a bit wary if you're impatient like me

Great music, great artsyle, and great game feel. Only downside I'd say is that the levels sometimes boil down to trial-and-error, and the only way to beat them is to replay the level dozens of times to learn the enemy placements and hazards. You can counter this by playing slower and taking more time to observe your surroundings but I feel that runs counter to the game vision.

In essence your options are this: play the level quickly, as is most fun and clearly intended, and die a lot to learn it over time, or play it much slower and methodical (which is clearly not the intended playstyle) and then run it again using the knowledge you gained. I myself am not a patient person and ended up closing the game after getting tired of running the same mission time and time again. Though, I'm stubborn and insisted on playing the game fast because I like to speedrun and had to deal with running a mission tons of times over. The dancing enemies did help alleviate the pain, though.

Overall, still a great experience and the music is an earworm that stays with me long past closing the game. So many things are great, I think it would be a bit better if there were some audio queues warning you of what to expect in the next room (like a ticking sound for bombers, or a distinct sound for a sniper) to warn you of an incoming threat so you can rely on your instincts more and get an edge if you're dialed in.

8/10 great game

My review is actually neutral, but the review system is all or nothing.

I can't recommend this game if you only liked playing killer in DBD. Role assignment is random, and due to the difference in number of players it's heavily weighed towards choosing survivors. I don't personally like survivor gameplay in these kinds of games and the new changes to the formula weren't enough to convince me in its current state.

If, however, you play with friends or enjoy survivor gameplay- you may enjoy this quite a bit.

Early Access Review
Fun game, though little inconveniences and frustrating trial-and-error moments as you get to learn the many, many quirks of the game can lead up to an unpleasant experience over time. In time, as they improve the QoL, this will be an easy recommend for anyone- but, for now, I can't recommend it to people with little patience for learning obtuse mechanics or who haven't played similar games like it to have the game sense to piece together everything the tutorial misses communicating to the players.
