This is another interesting spin off that the developers have dived into; being able to compare it to Hitman to a degree being able to accomplish "contracts" in a variety of ways and whatever is comfortable/fun for the individual playing it. Either guns blazing with explosives at hand, close up head shots with suppressed pistols and silent take downs with your knife, or 300+ meter shots with your modified sniper rifle of your choice. The developers once again amped up the fun that can be done within the game by giving even more of a variety of play styles, equipment and weapons, and bringing back a more complex skill tree that players can experiment with. The only downside that I had with this game was that I felt like it was too short.

Before I begin; I'd like to add that I have been an avid player of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series since its first release - loved the first game since it really was my first ever video game I owned. Bought the "Bulletproof Steelbox Edition" of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 when it was announced. Loved it just as much as the first. However, I have been slacking off on purchasing 3 and Contracts for a while and decided to do so when they went on sale. Now onto my actual review.

I really enjoyed the spin of an open world gameplay that they did for SGW3, allowing you to explore the regions and even side missions as you progress through the main campaign. It definitely gave nostalgic feelings of a Far Cry game where you liberate outposts, collect resources and currency, as well as find hidden collectibles all over the place. With a variety of weapons and equipment at your disposal, as well as a skill tree that you progress into with experience you gain doing certain tasks/actions in game, I'd personally would favor this game towards those interested to immerse themselves into the mountainous, sometimes frozen, landscape of Georgia to destabilize another regime that has taken fold within the countries borders.

Challenging and exciting; every decision you make within the campaign or side scenarios have a some sort of consequence. Unique play styles to which you can adapt and evolve in accordance to the situation at hand. The only question is; are you going to be the shining light within the winter storm? Or will you succumb to bearing a heart colder than the weather to keep the city warm?

I personally love this game; it's a timeless classic that old and new gamers of all types and backgrounds would enjoy.
