This is with the caveat that I've never played an Assassin's Creed game before, but I really enjoyed this!

Things I enjoyed (in no particular order):
- Hanging out with famous ancient Greek characters (Socrates was a personal favourite)
- The story and characters were interesting
- Exploring feels rewarding
- Choices felt meaningful
- A wide variety of weapons and armours means you can have a fairly flexible playstyle (I respecced my abilities 4 or 5 times to try different stuff throughout my playthrough)

Things I didn't enjoy
- The ship vs. ship combat was a real pain
- Sometimes the combat felt really janky

I can't speak for whether it's a good Assassin's creed game but it was a fun RPG.
I think if you enjoyed the Witcher 3 then you would probably also enjoy this.
