A pretty basic remaster with some unfortunate censorship & Denuvo 🤮, however, it's coupled with an absolutely killer new game.

If you're not intrested in Shadow Generations than I'd recommend buying the slighty cheaper Sonic Legacy Collection instead (unfortunately you can't buy the game on its own anymore) as that way you get a lot more games & can use old mods of which there are plenty (look on GameBanana).

If you are intrested in Shadow Generations:
This is one of the best Sonic games I've ever played with incredibly fun gameplay, an amazing story & lots of replayability.
Absolutely worth the price.

This game can be great fun but I can't recommend it in its current bug ridden, anti-consumer, & under-developed state

Poor performance
Reloads canceling for no reason
Stims not registering
Frequently getting stuck on/in geometry/objects
Interactables sometimes becoming uninteractable for no reason which can prevent mission completion
Stratagem balls not equipping on occasion
Inconsistent stat screens between players
Pelican-1 not firing
Sliding mechanic is so pathetic it might as well not exist
No jumping
Random stuttering, freezes, & crashes
Game sometimes failing to launch
Terrible audio mixing (this one is fixable with mods)
On full team wipe the game tries to reinforce you in the worst possible position & sometimes underground
Pay-to-win as the game locks weapons & other gameplay affecting items behind battlepasses payed for with premium in-game currency
Stat tracking makes no sense for flamethrowers & laser weapons
Being kicked out of operations despite successful missions
Terrible AI for what are suppose to be friendly drones & sentries that ends up getting the player killed
POIs often not being marked as cleared when they should be
Guarddogs ignoring enemies
Nests/fabricators/ships sometimes not destroying like they're suppose to when a grenade goes off inside
Missiles/rockets shooting through nests/fabricators/ships & enemies as if they don't exist
Dying with a stim in your neck
Time limited cosmetics
No transmog
No feminine body options
Long gaps with no updates
Slow story progress
Lack of melee combat options & mechanics
Can be pushed underground/into buildings trapping you
Unfocusing & refocusing the game can cause severe performance issues & your mouse unlocking from the game. To fix you just need to keep doing it until the game decides randomly to work properly again
POIs requiring 2 players can spawn in large quantities in solo dives (they shouldn't spawn at all)
SOS which is easy to call accidentally due to being near identical to reinforce can't be cancelled
Super sample rocks can spawn without their super samples
No locked first person mode
Guns can forget last aim setting despite being set to remember (happens randomly)
Simply touching a pebble can sometimes send you flying 3 maps away
Lack of punishment to dissuade team killing & diving on random planets
Getting stuck on Pelican-1's ramp
Restricted movement controls while on the Super Destroyer
No offline play
Solo dives spawn too many objectives for a single diver to reasonably accomplish
Lack of different game modes
No native mod support
Thick white border when trying to do a fullscreen borderless window
Terrible aliasing even at 1440p with max settings (including res scale being maxed)
No FSR/XeSS/DLSS/TSR support
No dynamic res option
