Somehow, this insane mess of Unity code is still receiving updates to this day. Supported partially by the community that realizes that this is the main way to interact in videogame form with the SCP universe, which I happen to adore, and mostly by a majority of folk who are in it for the chaotic moments and could not give you Peanut's SCP number even if you handed them its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ article, it is indeed a fun experience on most rounds.

The real gameplay is usually pretty formulaic: SCP's wreak havoc in Light after they deal with the suicidal guards that went into Heavy, then the opportunists, lucky bastards and poor lost D-class that survived Light (usually about 10-20% of those that spawned) make it to Heavy or Entrance, by which time MTF or CHAOS has usually spawned which leads to their murder by fellow men (if the server is mean) and a half-assed or insanely devastating ambush/divide-and-conquer strategy (although the morons in MTF are usually already divided by the time they hit B-side elevator) from Skips against military personnel. After that, Either SCP's get whittled down or they fail to find like 2 or 3 guys hiding somewhere and the nuke almost never goes off until a good 30 minutes have passed, minimum. Proceed to send endless waves of morons against the monsters and hope that the match ends soon so you can get a chance at being SCP on the next round. Of course, this is the solo queue experience, as this turns into a whole other game if you can host a private server and play with a large group of friends, which I would heartily recommend.

Word of advice to newer players: you have to be someone interesting if you want your experience to be more interesting. Chances are you picked up this game thanks to compilations of funny moments, which is perfectly fine, although what those never show you is the insane amount of interim rounds and time between something worth recording happening. As such, HAVE A MIC AND USE IT, it instantly makes you someone worth interacting with. Be a clown if you wanna and have some mercy as SCP, recognize when you could be the one to briefly shine in the spotlight and do something funny as any class.

I love this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, man...
