Here, they are referring to the Sus/Amogus meme, which spawned out of the 2018 online multiplayer social deduction game developed and published by American game studio Innersloth. In the game, you must work together to find the impostor. This is done through a chat feature. Users will make comments along the lines of, “red is being suspicious/acting suspect,” but because chat time is limited, will often shorten their comments to “red sus.” In parallel, players began calling Among Us “Amogus,” also shortening the phrase. These things in tandem gave birth to the Sus/Amogus meme. So when you hear someone say “sus” or “amogus,” what they mean is “that is strange/suspicious.”
