Another FromSoft game. Lots of people seem to think loading an otherwise good game with mechanics specifically designed to make the game unfun for inexperienced players good game design. As an inexperienced player I find that well, unfun.

A fine experience with some really touching writing and all the corporate gags you could want.

In the grimdark year of 2019 I played a game about a grimmer and darker future. Carve out a niche in the frozen wastes and try lasting more that a couple weeks. Frostpunk is as charming as it is depressing and difficult.

This game is utterly unplayable on widows 10 muti monitor. It is not a multi-monitor/ Win 10 issue. I have been extremely excited about this game, but it does not have any support options for multple motitors. I think it is a georgeous game, but it will not lauch in any format other than 720p windowed mode. I am severly upset that a game with so much promise was not made to work on either my windows 10 2 mntor system or my linux box in any serviceable fasion. It is a game that is gorgeous with an amazing sound track that is utterly unplayable on any system that was not designed by the developers. I have never been so let down by a game simply becase of its lack of graphical support. I hope that the devs can sort out these issues, but unless I can get more more than 10 mins into the game without total failure, this is a hard pass.

edit: I got the game running great on my Linux box. I still can't get it running fullscreen on my windows machine, and I have no idea what the conflict is. After spending some time actually playing it I can say this is an excelent 2D platform adventure game, at least for its first few hows. The soundtrack, visual style, animation are incredible. Game play is fluid and chalenging without ever feeling overly dificult. I look foreward to completing this game in the next week or two.

Where else can you pit a sandvich eating machinegun toteing russian hulk and a piss throwing ausie against each other?
