I grew up playing Paper Mario and its been one of my favorite games of all time. Thousand Year Door also great but then Paper Mario became what it became: A mess of an IP with no real direction (Origami King was a step in the right direction but its combat system....pretty bad) So I was always on the hunt for games that did Paper Mario justice and this is that game. Its quickly become one of my favorite games this year. The art style is adorable, the music is absolutely masterclass, the story is solid, the characters lovable. It isn't a 1:1 copy of Paper Mario (as it shouldn't be) but this nails that formula in new ways that make it fresh.

This game is a 10/10 and if you're a Paper Mario fan it would be insulting to yourself if you did not play this game.
