Early Access Review
Satisfactory is still in early access, but there is a lot of fun to be had with what is here—and there is a lot of it. If you have played Astroneer, this has a lot of the same feel but is much more complicated and in depth with how things are built. I haven't had a chance to try the multiplayer mode, but singleplayer alone is already very enjoyable.

I haven't felt this way after finishing a game in quite a while--I loved the puzzles, I loved the lore, and the voice acting was well done (especially for TOM).

The story itself does a very good job at foreshadowing, especially if you explore the 'restricted' areas. The ending was both satisfying and surprising.

If you liked Portal you'll probably like this game too.

For a ~4 hour long game the price of $20 is really up to you, but it seems fair enough to me.

This visual novel has a very well written story that, despite the initial info-dump, kept me interested the entire time. The visuals are pretty and the music is wonderful.

It's a quick 3 hour experience that I'd recommend to those who enjoy Visual Novels.

This is a nice little puzzle(?) game about simple logic and programming. It teaches you things one at a time, and then mashes them together with more complex tasks as you make your way through each year/floor.

I really enjoyed this game, but I was able to get it on sale for $1. I don't know if I can recommend it for any more than $5, but it'd be a shame for anyone to miss this little gem. Get it when it's on sale. 9/10.

I just finished the finale episode... and I don't know if I can ever go back and make a different choice. I'm sure others will have made other choices, but I don't even want to see the different endings. I love the ending I chose.

This game is so full of feels I had to pause the game often to collect myself. If it weren't for the occasional boring fetch quest (I know they have to slow the narritive down some places, but fetch quests are drull) I'd say it is perfect.

This game... this game.

If you haven't played all of the way to the end (the true endings, not the neutral ones) then you really need to do it.

I give it a 5/5.

AVOID SPOILERS AT ALL COSTS

This game isn't fun in the normal/traditional sense, but it is still fun. If you are one of those people who like to look into hidden meanings in literature, films, and/or games you will probably love this.

Those of us that like to figure out messages or intended meanings behind games will find that this game was made for us. If you fall into that group of people, you may learn something important and profound from this game.

Early Access Review
In this game's current state, couch gamers with a few controllers will enjoy it a lot. I've played this game both with a keyboard and with a controller--the controller wins (but the keyboard still fells okay).

The game has tight controls and an amazing aesthetic that puts everyone in the right mood. An easy to understand upgrades system and easy access to 'tips' before each floor allow for nearly anyone to learn the game very quickly.

I enjoyed playing it with my friends, and I plan to play it even more... I just hope they continue to add features/upgrades to make the $10 worth it (it is always a gamble with Early Access titles).

UPDATE 2: Valve and Bethesda recently rescinded their decision to allow and facilitate paid mods on Steam. With mods now being free for everyone (for now), I can again recommend this game.

--------------

UPDATE: The recent addition of paid mods has left the modding community broken and unsure of itself. Without some mods, Skyrim is nearly unplayable. I can no longer recommend Skyrim as long as these vital mods are behind pay-walls costing more than the full game itself.

--------------

Original review:

Skyrim is one of my favorite games of it's generation. It has a main campaign that is entertaining, a plethora of side-quests, and DLC that actually adds enough to justify the pricetag.

The core gameplay (while it has its glitchiness and occasional frustrating battles) stands on its own, but...

The mods make this game go from a 7/10 to 10/10.

Most of the more well made mods aren't available on the Steam Workshop but they can be found on other sites such as SkyrimNexus.

If you need any convincing, just search on YouTube 'Skyrim Mods' (and try to ignore some of the more crazy ones if you aren't looking for that kind of thing).

UPDATE: Act II was *okay*. I'd still recommend it, but it doesn't live up to Act I.

------------------------

I just finished Act I, and I am incredibly excited for Act II!

If you hate point and clicks, this won't win you over--but if you love them, this game is all you could ever wish for!
