I cannot believe how much I like this game. From the stylized nostalgic graphics to the absolutely perfect level design and layout (It's still easy to get lost so if you aren't good with directions build signs and beacons). Lots of items and gear. A solid roster of enemies. Portals. Some enjoyable NPCs like Bruce, Abe and Janet, and The Coworker. The back story is available through email terminals and voice recording, allowing you to engage with it if you want. Customizable difficulty to change most parts of the game you struggle with and mods on Nexus for everything else (I'm sorry but the bag size was unacceptable for solo play, and the limit to both weight and bag space).

TLDR: Great game worth a play with only a one or two minor annoyances.

It's a fun game. I'm excited to see where it goes.

I made an excited purchase when I saw this expansion because I love munchkins. Super scummy that it is an expansion, but it is a stand-alone expansion that cannot be combined with the base game. Also, they are going to make expansions for this? Expansions for an expansion that isn't compatible with the main game. Right... Absolutely stupid. I'll not be buying any more of this company's content.

Currently it feels very, "Here's the deep end of the pool. Oh, and hold this 100 lb. (45 kg.) weight." Luckily, most things have good tooltips. There's a touch of jank here and there, but it's pretty polished overall.

Final thought: I'm looking forward to seeing where this game goes, and what they add next.

The best pain I love to hate. I've had EOD for many years, and I always come back to EFT. The game is good. Some of the monetary decisions were not. Not all of the promised content was in the 1.0 release, but they ARE still working on the game. There will be more patches, expansions, and DLC. As the game stands, it's worth a play. PvP is extra painful, but rewards the most dopamine. PvE is far more approachable and where I recommend new players play for their first 10 hours, at least. I personally mostly play on PvE because I'm a dad gamer that can't take the high blood pressure of PvP frustrations.

Good

This game is a time stealer. Every time I play at least a couple of hours has just vanished. The unlock progression is nicely paced. It's definitely worth buying if you like roguelikes at all. Plus, the dev has already dropped a couple of patches in a couple of days to address some community feedback. Seriously. It's half of the price of a Netflix subscription and I have used it more than twice as much as Netflix this month. That makes this game some kind of crazy good math number for value that only a rocket magician could calculate.

It's been between 10 to 20 years since I played the original on PSP. I've never forgot the songs, and often found the rhythms popping into my head. I am so happy this has been brought to Steam.

Game runs great for me @1440 Ultra w/ High Res Texture Pack installed and watching videos on my second monitor.

Looking forward to the inevitable updates that add more monsters. I know they take a lot of work, but hopefully its not just 1 or 2 a year.
