Hugh: Nah, no kids for me. I'm not married either.
Diana: Yeah, I thought that was the case

She's adorable!
But damn she's brutal.

Gris is one of those rare games that feels less like something you “play” and more like something you experience moving through you.
I went into it thinking it would just be another pretty platformer, but it ended up hitting me much deeper than that. I’ve been going through a period of grief, and over time I’ve felt myself slowly losing interest in almost everything. Things that used to matter to me just haven’t been able to reach me the same way anymore.
There’s something about the way it’s built. It's quiet, slow, wordless, and that doesn’t try to push you into feeling anything. Instead, it just be there beside you while you move through it. And somehow, that made it easier for me to actually feel again, like the world slowly gained its color.
And at some point, it actually brought me to tears, which I didn’t think a game could do for me besides Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
By the end, I wasn’t thinking about mechanics or collectibles or anything like that. I was just sitting with what I felt, and appreciating that a game could reach me at all in this state.
Gris didn’t just feel beautiful. It felt like a small return to myself.

My friends keep pushing me to play World of Warcraft with them, but honestly? I’d rather be fishing with Keroppi and decorating my island. While they’re grinding for loot, I’m living my best life with Hello Kitty and friends. No stress, just pure joy.

Like, sorry, guys. I’m just playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
