Don't say "sink" on the boat.

In brief - yeah, it's great. You should play it!

I'm a relative newcomer to the RE franchise. I'm old enough to have played the originals in their original formats (I remember a pal of mine playing Code Veronica on Dreamcast) but the formula never really clicked for me until these remakes (remasters?) started showing up.

I first played the RE2 remake and it was heaps of fun! Spooky, tight controls, great optimization for PC. A1+, really great. I then hopped on the RE4 train and have enjoyed every minute. It's also super fun and the stroy is pretty compelling.

I don't have the time I once did as a younger man and so I rarely finish games these days. I'll play for a while and then get interrupted for days or weeks and then move on to something else. That's life. But this one I finished and have started a NG+ with delight! I know the twists and turns and yet the gameplay is so good and the world design is so immersive that I really just enjoy being in this spooky, gross castle and industrial dungeon. What an idea!

I plan to snag RE9 once the stars for RE4 fall from my eyes, which they will eventually, but I suspect I'll come back to this title a few more times over the years. I see it becoming something of a comfort game, and that sort of thing doesn't just happen so very often.

Cheers, Capcom. Keep 'em coming.

What can be said of RimWorld?
It is one of my favorites, an all-time top-fiver.
It's a pretty sophisticated sci-fi colony management simulator, but also a lot more.
If you're at all interested, just give it a shot. It's really quite something.

Blast from the past!
Guild Wars Reforged is a lot of fun, as much as it ever was back in the day. It's somewhat dated by today's standards but it's likely the best MMO of its type - the early-2000's MMO.
It runs well on PC and the Deck, which is delightful.
Find some friends (or hire your henchmen) and get to questing!

It makes my hands sweat. 11/10 for awakening my dormant vertigo.

My first impressions are very favorable! The levels in this game are more spacious than its predecessor. Character classes are leveled more deliberately - players are free to level individual stats as they see fit so you could conceivably make a tanky wizard or an intelligent warrior. There is equipment you find which you retain after death and these can change your primary attack as well as provide armor and stats boosts. Collecting lumber, ore, and other materials on each run you slowly develop your town from a sad array of tents into a proper little holdfast. I'm eager to progress, both to explore different character abilities and to see what new features may be available once the town takes full shape. All in all, it feels like the lovechild of the first Heroes of Hammerwatch and Diablo and, frankly, it's really, really fun. Two thumbs up!

A frenetic and highly engaging rouge-like. I'm not a typical fan of twitch fps games but the rapid pace, bumping bass, and overall peppy atmosphere make even losing rather enjoyable. It feel great when you hit on a combo of guns and perks which just overwhelm your opponents! Play with friends and you'll have a killer time for sure.

A pretty compelling "The Thing" game in point of fact and the most recent updates improve the experience markedly. The gameplay is fun and challenging. There is a rather steep learning curve but learning from your mistakes is part of the enjoyment! It's spooky and tense but not petrifying so even non-fans of horror games won't be put off. I would heartily recommend this game for anyone who's a fan of the source material.

My life for SUPER EARTH!

I've been frustrated with the game's slow and steady descent into unplayability, and it breaks my heart.

The bones are still great, mind you. The gameplay loop is a thing of wonder - when it works. Recent updates have overtaxed the already fragile engine and now, as often as not, I am confronted with slowdowns, freezes, crashes, and significant enjoyment-killing bugs. I don't have a super rig, but I've never had any real trouble playing the game to my satisfaction until lately. I'm not a try-hard but I do play well (the game is supposed to be a challenge anyway) so hear me when I say I'm not merely complaining about some newly perceived unfairness. It's just borked.

If you're on the fence, I'd suggest you think twice. At the very least you should wait until Arrowhead releases a dedicated performance patch and not just a sprinkle of fixes alongside another bloated, game-breaking update.

An Eagle never misses but Arrowhead sure has been whiffing it.

The recent updates have restored all my issues with gameplay stability. And the magma worlds are rad. As long as it works as advertised, this game is A1+

Keep it coming Arrowhead!
