If your looking for a shooter that dosen't assign itself to the generic wwII clone, Then Hat I mean Team Fortress 2 may be the game you're looking for. At first look this may seem like some cartoon versoin of an FPS, but after playing a few rounds you'll notice it's allot more complex then it appears. There are 3 playstyle sub-groups each consisting of 3 classes, though over the years of updates these sub-groups dont really mean anything anymore. Honestly there are so many play style variations now that I would have to right a 20 volume book just to talk about the Pyro (mmmph mmmmmmmmm). So if your looking for a fun Team based FPS then you definatly should give TF2 a try.
