I remember the the 90's and this being one of the first RPG's I ever played. The intro haunts me still and sends shivers through me in how incredible it is whilst still being quite simple. It is a perfect game, without doubt! The story is rich, it is topical, the characters are likeable ( mostly ) and the world is engaging and changing.

To say they don't make em like they used to is an understatement with this game! And although it is not my favourite of the series, it will always hold a strong place in my heart.

Playing it in recent years is just as fun and if anything, i prefer them without voices as it allows the player to put more imagination on to them.

An incredibly fun game that is super gore laden, story rich, open world ( but still gently guides you enough to keep the story going and has actual story ) and a humorous as well as quite dark characters...I mean you have a dog that hates people wearing hats! It is perfect silliness!

It is very much still apt to be played today, it still looks good and can be modded to the sky! A lot of time can be poured into it as well and it comes across as rewarding for the player, rather than just being a dusty grind.

Pick it up and give it a go, it is much more fun that the more recent ones.

It is a real shame that this game feels so unfinished and so utterly open ended. The characters truly wish to be played with/played as and it longs to be more considered with actual depth rather than 'MISSION COMPLETE' and not much more to it.

there is a butt load of customisation and nuance that can be applied to the missions, but I would forgo a lot of that for the sake of more rich story.

The slim through-line that does exist tho is quite interesting, but again that makes it all the more sad that it is no where near as accomplished as the others before it.

It is still worth playing tho, but don't expect it to be life changing.

It is a phenomenal game from start to finish, from DLC to DLC. A story that pulls you in and throws you around, keeps you engaged with tight story line, great game play and amazingly rich visuals.

I don't feel you need to have played the other two games but they help in bringing the love for the characters.

Geralt is very likeable and so are the others that you engage with a lot. It has a huge amount of game-play and every part of it feels well considered, the voice acting is superb as well and the whole thing feels like a triple A title.

It truly stands up to time and finally the soundtrack really adds to the richness of the game.
