Alright, where to begin? The game definitely has some flaws, but small enough to look past for me. Small control things, visual bugs, and random little inconveniences. Most of the time that would prevent me from playing, but something about this game has me pushing through the minor irritations. I'm running a 5080, so performance has been great for me, I cannot complain there.

The story has so many different deliveries. From cutscenes, memories, lore bits and other forms, it's everywhere. Don't let someone tell you the story is bad, it's just told differently in this game. More of a day-to-day life perspective rather than a movie with scripts and scenes.

Combat is unique and complex. Spend time acquiring new skills and applying the many customizations to weapons and gear. It makes for some of the most cinematic combat in any open world game to date. Archery, sword play, sword and shield, magic even wrestling moves, literally everything you could want in a game like this. The way they blend cinematics with the combat in each boss fight make for some of the most immersive fights I've ever fought.

They nail the high-fantasy environment. It's done right in every aspect and is the best I've personally seen in years when it comes to high-fantasy in video games. No pandering, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just bad-ass characters trying to survive the good fight.

This game does not hold your hand in the best way possible. The immense amount of systems and detail in each one allows for a variety of different play styles. This in turn provides endless hours of gameplay when you start to dive into each one. No yellow paint, so things may not be so obvious at first, but eventually you get introduced to every single mechanic through the main quest. It's left up to you to decide if you'd like to take advantage of it or move on, nothing is mandatory.

Controller support is lacking, but they seem to want to put the effort in to fix this for the community, as well as the many other little bugs I mentioned. They are actively patching the game and all those little nitpicks will get better over time. I personally haven't had too much issue on controller, but I know it's been a common criticism, and the devs have been vocal about fixing it.

I'm ~30 hours in and will be playing until my eyes bleed.

Stunning visuals, great music and ambiance. Story is....story. If you enjoy the difficulty of Hollow Knight boss fights with safer, less enemy ridden platforming, I highly recommend MIO. Getting pretty deep into the game now and I can highly recommend this game for any fans of the genre. Will go down with the likes of Hollow Knight, Nine Sols, and Blasphemy.

Small cons would include big objects obstructing your view as your traverse. Not being able to re-obtain your lost currency upon death (although you can concentrate that currency to allow you to not lose it). I find the fast travel points are a bit too far in between which causes you to do the same runback/platforming more often than you'd like (and they feel longer than your average Silksong runback.) Other than that I really don't have any real big negatives to say about this game.

4.4 Hours, 12/12 Achievements, excellent little game especially for the price. I honestly wish there was even more to dive into and looking forward to any possible future updates. If you enjoy gambling, rogue-likes (aka gambling+) and crafting a build to execute MAXIMUM damage, you will enjoy this game. Ton of fun mix and matching the different weapons and items to achieve success in defeating the final boss. Funnily enough for a slot game, not a lot is based on luck due to the excellent skill-check system. If you can time the slot just right, you will hit everything you want almost guaranteed.

This was someones passion project and it shows. From the beautiful pixel graphics to the satisfying rhythmic combat, it really is a a fresh take in the Turn Based RPG genre. The build variety between instruments is extremely fun to mess around with. Think of riffs as your deck of cards in a deck-builder, and your instrument modifications and guitar pedals as other ways to further modify your game through meta progression. The exploration is simple but satisfying. For a fairly straight forward and linear game, it tells a solid story about a musician trying to reach his goal of being in the battle of the bands. You battle monsters with frequency from start to finish while using a very satisfying QTE/Parry system that is as easy as clicking one button at the correct time. This game blends music with turn based combat almost perfectly, and its not necessarily a rhythm game in the truest form, but it does bring the aspect of it into the game play very nicely. Even for me, someone who doesn't normally play rhythm games. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a new RPG, it reminded me a lot of the deck combat from Slay the Spire, the exploration and battles from Sea of Stars, with a bunch of other inspiration sprinkled in. There is also a demo available.

Definitely exceeded my expectations. Even with Oblivion shadow dropping in the same week, Sandfall held on tight because they knew what they created. This game is the epitome of what a game should be in 2025. Beautiful art style, well crafted and written story. A seamless and rewarding combat system that will keep you coming back to progress further and uncover more secrets. A Highly sophisticated soundtrack that could potentially be one of the greatest gaming OSTs of all time. A true piece of art. I don't really have anything negative to say, it is just a great experience all around.

Even if you are not a fan of the turn based combat, I still highly recommend that you give this game a chance. Between the parrying and real time skill checks in between choosing your move, this game keeps you on your toes. The exploration had me hypnotised to say the least. Looking forward to what these developers cook up next, and potentially any future DLC they have planned..

Fun and cheap pickup for survivors fans. Combat is smooth, i like that it keeps you within each ritual area. Graphics are great for the genre and same with audio. Early game could use some more build variety and weapons/abilities. I've heard you do unlock a lot more in the later game. Haven't experienced any bugs.

If you enjoy games like Death Must Die or Halls of Torment, I feel like you'll enjoy this. I'd personally choose those games first if you haven't played them before, and possibly keep an eye on this one for the future. Worth the price though, could use some more updates. Solid amount of content at launch so I can't complain.

I do like the bleed mechanic. It adds another layer to survival and prioritising certain upgrades for when you eventually lose a life. Nice touch that you look more and more deteriorated the more lives you lose until you inevitably die.

Very fun for not even 3 bucks. Scared the crap outta me a couple times. Awesome concept, hopefully see this expand in the future because there are so many awesome possibilities with a game like this. The creativity is already top tier so i can expect some pretty awesome updates if the devs continue to work on this. Either way definitely worth the couple bucks.
