The devs want this game dead

One of the most unique and creative games I've ever played. I am so glad a streamer I like played this game once, as I would never have played it myself due to the mindset that this was "just a card game". I really dislike card games where you just play against some bot the whole time, I mean if I wanted to buy a card game I'd buy that, not a video game, right? Do NOT think of Inscryption as a card game, it's a game that happens to have a card game in it. What an experience.

The game itself is fine, and a fun VR game. But I highly recommend NOT downloading it from Steam or an official version, but to download an old version off of another website. The devs originally made this an oculus exclusive which was pretty shady at first, but then I bought it once it was available to all. Now they're censoring the game and taking things out, and who knows what they could remove in the future.

This game is already extremely popular this year so maybe there is no real need for me a write a review, but it is my game of year, even as a huge VR and Half-Life fan. Its incredibly addicting, and even if you doing like Rougelikes I still recommend it because the different weapons and switches in chambers can make it feel like a different game every run. Also the story and soundtrack are incredible. In the past with games like Bastion and Pyre, I personally thought Supergiant stories were super generic and not all that interesting save for the concepts. This is a huge jump up, clearly something happened in the writing team between those games and this one.

This is the most boring game I have ever played. How can a game be entirely lead by the story yet be so boring? Its just a woman being interrogated and talking. Rarely does. anything interesting ever happen and was just a waste of three hours. I was a little confused by the story so I looked up one of those "story explained" videos and man was I surprised that the story really is as dull as I thought it was. The concept is unique, sure. But the actually story itself is very not creative and uninteresting. This isn't even worth watching on youtube, its not worth getting invested in at all its the most agonizing slog of all time. If you want to watch a 3/10 indie movie, but it also be a tedious chore at the same time, buy this game.

The only reason you would not like this game is if you don't like Justin Roiland's style of humor. Not necessarily Rick and Morty humor, but Justin Roiland's humor. The ~3 hour DLC already included with the game is way better than I expected too. If you can't do room-scale or you just want a sitting game for VR, this is a great choice. The reward for collecting all the power babies is... nice.

Of all the VR games I've played, this one will give you the QUICKEST workout. You'll be hot and sweaty and gasping for air in just a few minutes of fighting. I only play this game at like, 15 minutes at a time before I gotta give up but end up defeating a more and more difficult champion each time. Requires room-scale!

One of the most iconic and best video games of all time with amazing innovative(at the time) gameplay mechanics and story. The gravity gun is fantastic. But also unfortunately one of the only of its genre of being 70% an FPS and 30% a puzzle game. Just the perfect mix.

One of the few visual novels with actual gameplay. 999 is quality over quantity and VLR is quantity over quality but in the end the long boring parts of the story make it all worth it in the end with a fantastic ending. Puzzles in both games are great! If you like escape rooms but nobody to go to one with, this is the game you want. Also, the English dub is far far better than Japanese sub. Do yourself a favor and play with the English dub, even if you're Japanese.

I made a review earlier saying there were two gamebreaking bugs. my fault. this is the best vr game I've ever played.
