The recent decision to essentially 'delete' the Waking the Tiger and Man the Guns DLC from the game (without any compensation for owners) and rework/re-release them for 1.5x the original cost is probably the scummiest decision made by a game developer I have ever seen. EA is actually more consumer friendly than Paradox at this point. Normally I'm an opponent of overzealous government oversight but I really hope Paradox just gets crushed by the EU or at least slapped with a massive fine at some point.

So I'm aware it says I have played 3 hours. However I have spent about 15 hours on reading the manual and watching tutorial videos. Still don't know a thing.

It's awesome 10/10 well written manual.

Alright so considering as of the time of writing this I have 1.7k hours I decided to actually write a review for this game. Unfortunately I've sort of reached the point where I have sunk so much time into this that I couldn't possible rate it down without risking my mental health so I will just go over what this game might bring you.

Starting is really rough. You are going to suffer. And it's not because the game is broken. It's not because Axis OP. It is because you're bad. But that's okay. You are going to be a massive letdown to your team every game until you have at least 1k hours.

If you want to learn how to play RTS this is the perfect place to do it, it is micro intensive and the meta is always stupid af. A perfect RTS title.

Play modded; its way better. Personally I recommend Wikinger mod. Also SEGA release mod tools ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game is ancient no one is going to not buy your stupid DLC just because mod tools are going to be a thing. Come on!

Huge improvement over SD1 in most ways. Tons of units and pretty vast maps. Only issues are A) The gamemodes get tiring after a while (There are only three dif types: Conquest, Closer Combat which is the same as conquest but CLOSER and Breakthrough which is just attack/defense) Issue B) There a quite a few discrepancies in some of the in game stats and some things are just not matching (Skijaeger Panzerschreck team has different stealth stats than all the other PzSchreck teams for instance) But C) is my biggest qualm with the game and it is basically inexcusable: THE PANZER IV MODEL IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST 3D MODEL I HAVE SEEN IN MY LIFE. It is absolutely horrendous, it shows sloped bits of the front plate that DON'T EXIST. The game lists it as having a hull MG but you can't see it on the model! And not only that but the tank is COVERED in tracks but that isn't reflected on at all in its armor value. Please have another look at some of the models as there are certain ones that are incredibly lacking.

Overall it is certainly worth the money and there are hundreds of units to go through and plenty to learn and a lot of fun with a group of friends. Good stuff, Eugen, good stuff!
