This game is amazing and it's a straight upgrade to Team Fortress 2 if you yearn for the days of old - no hats, great performance, and balanced classes without the overhead of too many weapon choices. The new weapons and gadgets they have added are so genius, it makes you wonder why they were never in the original game.

However, I'm voting Not Recommended for one reason: The "official" VaultF4 servers are moderated, and the mods are ANAL. I've had great conversations and all-nighter sessions with the people of this community, and somehow, I've been at odds with the moderators, despite never having a complaint or argument with another player on the server. It's like the moderators are 20-something year olds and the actual players are 30+ers. It would be fine enough if mods would speak to you and tell you when you step out of line, but they don't. They'll just ban you without a word. You can even get banned for something as stupid as just switching teams whenever a free spot opens up.

I realize this all may sound like a joke, but what WAS the point of the Steam migration if you're not going to host any servers where players can just freely play the game? Otherwise, look for one of the other 18+ community servers that deliberately do not have mods.
