Really great, although I need to point out that the Fischer random option isn't actually Fischer random! In Fischer random, the king still needs to be between the rooks and bishops need to be on opposite colors (so it isn't truly randomizing the back row). ;)

Very fun game for a chess nerd like me!

Love it so far! You generally want to first lower and then raise prices, so the game forces you to alter your strategy midway through a week. It's an interesting idea and helps prevent you from trying to railroad a strat like in other deck-builder rougelikes.

I started my first session at 4:30, suddenly it's past 10pm in the blink of an eye.

There are growing pains with the release of every new strategy game (clunky UI, few map choices, etc), but they are just growing pains. The core of this game feels very good so far.

The new age of civ is here.

I did not expect to enjoy this game as much as I have been. I love strategy games, but more of the Civ or Paradox type. I always bounced off of RTS's in the past.

But AEO4 makes it really easy for newcomers to the genre. The game is incredibly deep, but it also comes with the advancements one would expect with a modern game, like a better UI and tutorial compared to older RTSs like AOE2. I think that makes this game the best starting point for anyone looking to get into RTSs.

An ode to gaming. I've only played like 20% of the games so far, but they've all been straight bangers.

What I like most about this game is it recreates the feeling of walking into a Gamestop or Toys R Us or Blockbuster in the era before Steam and Youtube, when all these games were before you, and all you had to go off on was the game's title, box art, and a couple sentences on the back.
