Doesn't even come close to RE2 Remake in regards to level design and replay value. Actual amount of detail in each area is excellent which really helps to immerse you in every new environment you enter, but this is contrasted by the levels themselves being short and more linear in general. This hits you immediately in the first zone as you find yourself in the city streets. Every enterable building that you are excited to explore consists of only one room and once you find the lockpick you are excited to get in in to these new buildings only to find its more of the same, one room with a couple resources. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Resource management is almost non-existent even on hardcore which is what my first run was on. I never found myself planning what i could afford to take and when i felt it necessary to back track and collect old resources i had left behind, definitely not the the extent i did in RE2, another side-effect of the levels being more linear. Due to this linear approach my final playtime was 5.5 hours on hardcore all areas explored fully and while i enjoyed the game, overall it left me disappointed wanting so much more. At full RRP it can't be suggested. The game is a $30 title at best.
