A perfect entry point for new fans of the series. This is Fatal Frame 2 but marketed (again) for newer audiences that might be less comfortable with fixed cameras, just as RE/SH did. The story and progression follow the exact same beats, with a few additions and a (slightly) different combat system, but it is basically the same game. I would say it loses a bit of the charm the original had but it is still pure Fatal Frame and a good one to boot!

Chill platformer with collectathon roots, completing small objectives scattered through a series of thematic levels. These are short and to the point and while there are a couple hard spots, don't expect a huge level of difficulty. Expect having an enjoyable time exploring alongside vibey music, playing dress-up and watching fools fall to their deaths.
The game is quite short at launch and needs some corners polished, but defo a fun experience to 100%. Will come back as the devs add improvements and more loops, levels and trials.

Bonus points for the Ocarina of Time stealth sequence homage.

A game heavily inspired by the earlier Resident Evil games, set to give a new take on the "cinematic zombie survival" formula with modernized graphics and over-the-shoulder 3rd person gameplay. However, it controls extremely poorly, the difficulty is all over the place, the character designs are atrocious, and it is simply not fun to play. Sadly, it doesn't break the "so bad it's good" threshold. Not even the "so cheesy it's endearing" one, as the voice acting will make you cringe your eyes shut.

Instead of reloading the guns from the inventory menu like classic RE titles, this game decides to go up its own ass and makes you reload the magazines instead, keeping the amount of bullets left in the magazine (just like real life™). Also, the game does NOT pause while bringing up the inventory. On paper sounds like a cool idea that makes reloading (and when to) a tactical decision. On practice, be ready to open the stupid menu (with an unnecessarily long animation) every 2-3 zombies, unless you wanna YOLO the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game bitchslapping the zombies out of the way, just like I did.

Yes, you can basically make your way around the game slapping enemies into the ground, not wasting a single bullet. Even the big ones. Then the dude with the long tongue (yeah, the one in the game banner) comes up and he's the spongiest MF in the city, extremely tanky. "Okay, I guess I have to run from this dude", you say. But soon after you gotta fight two in a closed arena for some reason, and they take F O R E V E R.

You spend a huge amount of time (and I mean painfully long time) playing delivery boy for a doctor in a locked room. There's zero agency about what you can do, but the sequence is awfully justified. It's not like you need to do all that crap to get in there, the doctor is simply blocking the door until his power trip is satisfied. Your character screams and yells and threatens the doctor, but continuously yields, forced (and so do you) to come and go around the hospital doing chores. "Let me in or you'll see! Okay, I'll go get check that terminal.", "You'll regret this once I get in there, doc. Fine, I'll bring the personnel files.", "Oh now you're pissing me off!! Anyhoo~ which cigarette brand did you say you wanted doc?"

Some of the in-game documents give you a password that you can use in a linked website to read them. You literally pick up a binder, and the text is just the link and the password, instead of environmental storytelling. Why would I want to do that? I'm already struggling to be interested in your lore, don't make me alt-tab to open Mozilla to read the stupid document. Using external devices to solve in-game puzzles could be an interesting proposition, but here this is completely overlooked.

The developers seem very passionate about the game, and I appreciate trying to re-modernize the classics. But the execution is just very poor and the game feels very clunky and VERY low-budget. I always force myself to finish games, but I had to give up on this.

If you're needing your RE fix, get Tormented Souls if you like fixed camera angles. Or go play RE2 remake again.
