This is probably the most stressful game of Tetris you'll ever play; there isn't a single mode that doesn't increase the speed after a few lines. I don't mind a challenge but I started playing Tetris mainly because I found it quite relaxing, but not here. Yes, I'm not very good.

The graphics and effects are good, at times it really adds to the immersion but overall I don't think it warrants the sub-par performance. I can't play Tetris on my Steam Deck without dumping the settings? Ok. it's pretty robust apart from that.

It's a fine game but it doesn't make Tetris DX for the Gameboy Color obsolete for me.

Edit: The performance problem seems to be well-known and the devs seemingly don't have the intention to do anything about it.

I don't really get why people leave a negative review on the basis of it "ruining the earlygame". It's still your choice whether you want to make use of the stuff they give you or not; you can just store the things in Doc Mitchell's house or wherever and get them when you feel like it.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a big fan of open world arcade racing games, with TDU 2 being among my all-time favourites. When SC was first announced I was very sceptic if a new dev could pull this off and after waiting an eternity for the game to release it turned out I was right; when I played the demo it was the worst experience I ever had with any modern game. It stuttered like crazy and struggled to maintain 30 FPS on the lowest settings, which looked horrendous.

To be fair, I had a GTX 1070 back then but FH5 ran pretty well on that so I can only blame the game's opimisation and the (at the time) aggressive anti-cheat.

Fast forward to now and I finally picked up the game for 20€, with both the Average and Recent Reviews being "Mostly Negative", the way they pretty much have been since launch.

So does the game deserve its bad reviews? Yes. Well, mostly. It's just sooo boring, it still runs horribly (now on my RX7700XT) and most of the features people would expect from a TDU game had to be patched in after launch. It's still fun; in the way that any open world game can be fun. Exploration is still interesting and each car still feels different enough to be engaging, in addition to the engine noises being honestly quite excellent. The rest is just kinda bland.

It's not enough to beat Forza Horizon, their sole competitor in this genre right now, which is a shame because Forza was been pretty much stagnent since FH3 with every new game being borderline the same thing.

Very charming almost-FMV game. You could potentially even work with Adult Swim or some streamers (like Vinny Vinesauce, who even did public access at one point) to bolster the programm.

The UI is very well done and among the most authentic early-90s look-a-like UI that I've seen, and the soundtrack is pretty weird but ties the whole vibe together rather nicely.

It's capturing the feel of the 3D titles pretty well I think, the controls can be a bit finicky, though, especially in tight spots. The art direction is once again pretty great; the sprites are beautiful and the soundtrack follows the quality of the main games pretty well.

It has its problems, though. Apart from the aforementioned controls it's pretty easy to get stuck in walls, both visually and physically. Opals also sometimes drop out of bounds which is a bummer. I played the game mostly on Steam Deck so I don't know if it's due to that, it ran fine outside of that mostly. I had to add mouse input to navigate certain menus but gameplay-wise it's flawless, even when limiting the APU's TDP to 10w.

Overall I'm pretty pleased. It's no Ty 2, but it doesn't try to be and for a game that was originally commissioned to be a Windows 8 store exclusive it's pretty neat. The name is a bit unfortunate, though, and probably the reason some people are so disappointed.

Early Access Review
This game feels like it was mostly put together using AI code and stuff from the asset store. It is horribly optimised and is all over the place visually; especially the lighting seems to change at random.

Gameplay-wise it's a 1:1 clone of The Long Drive, but somehow more polished. The multiplayer works quite well. Regardless, this game needs A LOT of work and I hope the devs are actually willing to do that; for now it's just a glorious slop game.

Fantastic art style that suits the music well; so many creative touches and little things for fans to nerd over. If I HAD to complain about something I'd say that the songs could've bee integrated into the environments more; especially the absence of transitions makes it a tiny bit jarring, but that's really nitpicking.

If there was ever a game I wanted to be made into a Netflix series this would be it. The humour is consistently brilliant, if not a bit silly. The only thing I'd say against it is that it's just too short and linear.

The visual style is delightfully goofy and supplements the weird characters beautifully, as does the soundtrack. Brilliant voice acting, too.

There NEEDS to be a sequel.

I did not expect that level of detail in a small game like this; perfect for computer nerds like me.

Gameplay-wise it's a pretty easy to learn/kinda hard to master game you can play for hours or just minutes at a time.

It has some weird bugs, though; the download window just goes blank after a while, seemingly at random, numerous text boxes say "ongratulations", some text overlaps or get's cut off by icons and the e-mail chains are near-impossible to keep alive; they seem to reset every now and then. Progress itself seems a bit random at times.

I think the biggest problem with this game is that you never really know what you're supposed to do. The goal "film something scary" is fair enough but so far I haven't been able to reach the first quota (the best we've done was 1.3k views) despite filming literally every scary thing I encounter.

Granted, I've only played it for little over an hour and with only one other person but the game is just really boring, as most of the time you just wander around aimlessly waiting for anything to happen. Maybe it's quite funny if you're with the right people but I don't think I'll be playing any more of this. I don't really like the cheap jump scares either.
