I read a comment on Red Dead Online you posted in August. Heavily related to your experience. But have you tried using something called "Legal Screen Skip" mod? Basically gets rid of intro info(Rockstar and legal warnings about fictional events). But it also runs it like a different version of RD Online. Technically, you can make it into your own personal server this way. Just a suggestion, if you plan to pick the game up again. Anyway, happy gaming.
