We could fight against it, but we enjoy our toys too much, we've been born into complacence.
Humans are meant to be the apex predators of this planet, but we've fallen for our own traps and now we stand only to be eroded by time.

"Oh, but there are always doom callers" you may retort.

Well, our ancestors were willing to fight for their rights, while we simply bend the knee for 5 minuets of peace.

"Well, Nothing ever happens" you may cope

It's always happening and that's the point, complacency breeds self contempt. We’ve grown used to the insanity of the modern day.
