At the time of writing this review, I have 185 hours played, both with friends and solo. I want to share the main problems of this game and give feedback for the developers to consider.

Since I often play solo on Forbidden, most of the time I encounter groups of 2 to 4 enemies. Why is that? This review will be the answer to why the majority of people in this game play in squads.

First of all, when you get into a firefight and, for example, you knock an enemy down — you’ve traded HP, lost armor, and you are alone. Meanwhile, the enemy crawls around a corner and starts self-reviving. You can't do anything about it because his friends are covering him. You have no HP and no armor left; essentially, your existence is temporary. No matter how hard you try, it is very difficult to defeat a squad due to these factors: most of them have a "self-res" in their pocket, and your armor gets destroyed after the very first engagement.

The second common problem is the existence of T6 and T7 ammo, which absolutely breaks the game balance. It doesn't matter what you are wearing—if it's not a ricochet, you're dead. People camp, and if you are spotted first, good luck. The developer looks at some "magic statistics," I don't know which ones, but on Forbidden, this happens constantly. This should be removed.

Prices: in this new season, the price of everything has gone through the roof. There are now guns costing 1 million Koen, which is total nonsense. I don't understand how, in the eyes of the developer, a non-hardcore beginner is supposed to survive in this game. In my 185 hours, I have farmed only 55 million, which isn't too bad, but most players don't have that. I have friends who are sitting on 5 million or less and they are suffering.

I also want to talk about weapons and other ammo types. First of all, 90% of the guns in this game are pure trash, and their stats do not correspond to reality. There is almost no variety. Moreover, many weapons like pistols and shotguns don't even have T4/T5 ammo: .45, .44, 12x70, 9x19, 7.62x25.

The difficulty in the game is a separate story. In Lockdown mode, you often encounter full T5 squads that absolutely dominate the beginners who mostly play there. Everyone is writing about this and asking: make it so that you can only enter Lockdown with T4 gear and below. Let T5/T6 players play on Forbidden where they logically belong.

Otherwise, the game is good and pleasant to play, except for the problems I wrote above. I will gladly change my review to positive, but for now, this is how it is.

Remove red ammo and self-res, add the ability to play solo vs solo on all maps, and rework the armor.
And DEV's stop thinking by "statistics" you have official creators which play thousand hours which can provide and help you with amazing feedback!

I’ve spent over 150 hours in Dune: Awakening, completed the full storyline, and reached level 5 with the Harkonnen faction. While the game offers a great atmosphere and strong world-building, I want to share my experience as a solo player, especially regarding the endgame content in the Deep Desert.

Endgame PvE in the Deep Desert:
When I first entered the Deep Desert, I started clearing the PvE labyrinths solo. The main issue is that monsters are not balanced for solo players. Clearing them takes far too long — I had to kite endlessly in circles, cutting them down one by one. This quickly becomes exhausting and repetitive, especially with melee enemies who dash forward after every parry. The gameplay feels boring, and enemies are nothing more than damage sponges.
What makes this worse is the chest farming system. After clearing a lab, I often find players sitting inside all day just farming the chest on respawn. It feels unfair and discouraging. A better system would be:
You clear the lab, open the chest, and instead of waiting for respawn, you can immediately reset the dungeon to clear and loot again.
Effort should equal reward. If I go through the trouble of clearing content, I should get rewarded without waiting or being blocked by campers.
On top of that, the inability to switch builds freely between PvE and PvP makes the solo PvE grind even more frustrating.

Weekly Rotations:
The weekly rotations are another problem. If nothing of interest drops during a given week, then the entire Deep Desert becomes useless for me as a solo player. This leaves me asking: What am I supposed to do for the rest of the week?

PvP on Objectives:
The PvP system around objectives feels broken. Here’s what happens:
You fight your way to the chest.
Another player is camping there.
You kill them, but they respawn within a minute right on the spot and continue to fight endlessly.
This is frustrating and makes the whole system meaningless. Players should be sent back to their base after dying, so the victor actually has time to loot. Ideally, the chest should reward the player who cleared the mobs, while others can interfere — but not infinitely respawn in the same room.

Gear Durability:
The gear durability system is another issue. Losing 10% durability per death feels extremely punishing, especially in PvP. Players want to PvP non-stop, but when wearing unique items (which can’t be repaired and may be rotated out of the loot pool), this system just punishes engagement. What is a player supposed to do when their gear breaks permanently?

Survival as a Solo Player:
Living in the Deep Desert as a solo player feels nearly impossible:
I built a base with all the required stations and 10 large water collectors. Even with that, it is not enough to sustain my needs.
Transporting resources back and forth between the Deep Desert and Hagga Basin is miserable busywork, especially since it has to be redone every single week just to keep a base operational.
This design makes survival feel like a chore rather than a challenge.

PvP Labyrinths:
PvP labyrinths are completely broken for solo players. I’m fully geared in MK5, but I constantly face enemies in MK6, who started earlier and now have weapons and armor that completely outclass mine.
In 1v1 it is at least possible to fight with skill, but the gear gap is still overwhelming.
Once your gear breaks, you’re forced to farm massive amounts of resources again just to craft new weapons.
Water is always in short supply, making the grind even worse.
The system creates an endless gear treadmill where newer or solo players can never realistically catch up.

Final Thoughts:
Dune: Awakening has huge potential, but as it stands, the Deep Desert endgame is hostile to solo players. Between unbalanced mobs, chest campers, weekly rotations, punishing durability, and resource shortages, the experience often feels like a chore instead of rewarding gameplay.

I sincerely hope the developers consider improving:
Solo-friendly PvE balancing
Fairer reward systems in labyrinths
Adjustments to respawns and PvP objectives
Less punishing gear and survival mechanics
Because right now, it’s very difficult to see how a solo player is supposed to thrive in this environment.

This endgame content should be completely reworked, this not working good for ANYONE, i was EXPECTING FUN with PVP!
Will revisit this game after Deep Desert Rework but for now its BIG NONO!

(i have 1gbit internet and EU servers give me MINIMUM 70-120 ping, while in other games EU servers provide 20-50 MAX)
