We'll start with the bad:

-Performance is a bit iffy, dips below 60fps a LOT on 5900x/7900xtx @ 4k.
-60fps lock and no ultrawide support (check Nexusmods for some fixes for this).
-Keeps a lot of the old clunky UI elements from the original game, should have borrowed more from MGSV.
-I had a few crashes during my run, and spoke to others that had the same issue.
-Price Tag, yuck.

The (pretty) good:

+This remake is very faithful to the original game. As far as I remember, everything cutscene and story-wise is in-tact. (Thus, everything good about MGS3 is good in this game. Compelling story, awesome bosses, creative characters, etc)
+The gramphics are very good, especially in woodlands.
+Some mechanics are modernized for today's sensibilities, playing with keyboard and mouse in over-the-shoulder 3rd person is very nice.
+Eva, lol.
+Content cut from earlier ports return in this version, such as Snake vs Monkey.



If you are a fan of the Metal Gear series already, I think you will enjoy this game if you can look over the light performance issues. If you are new to the Metal Gear series, play Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for a better introduction to the series.
