Just like TF2, except it runs smoother, the default settings don't suck and the settings menu has a typable search bar filter.
It also features a lot of game modes that valve scrapped in the past, like VIP and Arena, alongside newly added chaotic content, like playing capture points with 4 different teams, AOE mediguns, etc...
Try this mod out, i'm sure some of the weapons will surprise you.

Very fun to play. It's more polished and more chaotic than the first game.
The trailer says 1000+ animations, I don't doubt it. Clicking left and right has never been such a diverse experience.
Fair warning: the first game looks like a love letter to old fighting movies, this game has a more gentrified look.

It's weird reviewing old games like this. A good number of flaws you can excuse due to the debatable immaturity of the industry at the time, and despite those flaws it is still a better experience then playing whatever AAA slop is being pumped out these days.
So I'm just gonna mark "recommend" and list a few flaws and quirks.
- The game is not plug and play on either Windows nor Linux, and you'll need to fix the HUD. Use proton 7 btw.
- Your accuracy is determined by a circular reticle that expands when you move your aim and shrinks when you don't. Meaning that no matter how much Quake or Unreal Tournament you play, you'll be aiming a whole lot different.
- There is A LOT of screen shake.
- You can't remove upgrades from weapons and not all upgrades nor weapons are made equal. Save files are your only friend.
- The starting pistol is the best weapon in the game for its accuracy and not having to aim too much for the reticle to close on someones head. You'll use it for the whole game.
- A lot of enemies all the time in the middle game, the pacing just drags on.

By the way I recommend watching old trailers of this game, see how much it's different from this game and similar to Warframe.

Brain dead repetitive gameplay. I've spent a lot of time clicking m1 and hearing the same sound effects over and over, along with bland background music.
Playing on multiplayer seems to make veteran difficulty very easy, and also makes death meaningless. I am not sure how the game plays out solo, but I am guessing not much more entertaining.

Class-based PvE co-op first person horde looter shooter. That about sums up what you should expect from this game.
This might seem like a horror game, but after a few hours you'll be making piles of bug gore.

This game's progression, monetization and live service are very player friendly. So much so that I think it is one of the best in the current gaming industry. No other live service game I know of allows for modding, save files and replaying battle passes and events.

I only wish there were more convenient UI, like cosmetic loadouts that aren't tied to your overall equipment loadout.

More like 100% RNG. Either way it's fun to play with friends.

Exemplary RPG, and one of the best games ever made.
And now that REDKit is out, this game is fresher than ever.
