I like some veggies. I'm fine with others like broccoli. I hate beans and corn and tomatoes and - wait, I'm going into the fruit category. However, there is one vegetable I honor and love more than anything in this mortal reality; the eggplant. I love the eggplant with a burning passion. I grasp it like I would grasp my lover, and I sleep with one beside me each night. The deep purple hue of it's round body; it makes me feel like I've never felt before. This feeling... this love for the eggplant... it's indescribable. I went to the supermarket when I was a child and when I saw the eggplant, it spoke to me, as a god would to a mortal like myself. I felt like a fetus enclosed in the soft and gentle hand of this vegetable- no, this deity, and from then on I worship the eggplant. I devote myself to it, and I will kill anyone who defaces it.
