It's not meant to be balanced, it's just a fun take on comp hero shooters and the lovechild of Apex Legends and Valorant. Most of the negative reviews are crying about the grind to unlock characters, but within 24 hours of launching they have already given away two free character unlocks. With the way the unlockable currency disperses, it would appear to take about 12 hours of gameplay to unlock another, which seems like a reasonable and not hellish grind to avoid shilling out $5 to support a free to play game. Ignore the kids and have fun with it.

This is not No More Room in Hell 2, but a different game by a different development team that's missing the mechanics that made the first game so iconic and enjoyable. I was so excited for the sequel that I would have eaten up a hot, sloppy, buggy mess, but this game is just not at all related to the first. I suppose it could be enjoyable if you're new to the franchise and go in not expecting it to be a continuation or a predecessor to the namesake.

They put crack in this game.

I'm going to finish this game purely out of my love for DBD and for the fact that I can no longer refund it, but boy howdy...I cannot believe this heaping pile of garbage came from the crew of Until Dawn.

Optimization aside (frequent stuttering even on low graphics with a 3060ti and i9-10900), the writing is hilariously bad at times. You're frequently getting soft-locked by following companions, bugging in your movement animations, and most of the choices you make have no bearing on the story. The build-up to the "thrilling" part of the game is so mind-numbingly long that my viewer began drifting off to sleep.

Buy it on sale.

Relive your childhood in 3D with voice acting, 10/10.

Despite the snail-paced development of this game over the years, continues to bring hours upon hours of entertainment, and has a far better/more helpful community than others of its genre. With the implementation of Alpha 15, there is almost nothing you cannot do. Nailgun some zeds in the back of the head? Check. Build an underwater base, or an intricate system of underground tunnels to get around safely? Go for it. When one server gets tiring, can move along ot another, and the thrill of the game never gets old.
