We're almost at XCOM levels of accuracy memery. Seems like the more this game gets patched, the more issues arise. At least the ship building part is fun... when it's not stuttering a machine with a 5800X3D, 3060 Ti, 128 GB DDR4, and no mechanical storage.

This is not the Armored Core you grew up with. The main focus of the campaign isn't AC on AC battles, but rather large set-piece battles with big baddies that have an unfair amount of health and damage. It's an evolution of the For Answer formula with bits of V and VD thrown in. It's also not as hard as people make it out to be. Learn the attack patterns. Figure out the tells for big moves. This new Armored Core is more soul-like, but it's not punishing. It's certainly not as painful as Last Raven was.

Got stuck on Balteus 2.0 for five hours before I rolled my face over my controller enough to beat him

If there's one thing I think everyone can agree on, it's that your character has quite the knees.

Let's see. How do I put this nicely? Guess I'll just throw out everything in bullet points:

+Excellent concept
+Enjoyable kills

-Grind Heavy
-"Pay to Win"
-Broken Balance
-Broken Physics
-Broken Game Mechanics
-Seemingly no effort being made towards fixing these issues

As of the time of this review, I can't play the game for longer than an hour without getting frustrated by something about it. Even World of Tanks is less frustrating than War Thunder. Do yourself a favor and just pass on this game. If they ever fix these issues, maybe it'd be more fun.
