Bought it to play coop with friendbut Servers are offline. Same as it was with Sim City & other C&C titles.
Tried to use a third party solution but encountered errors. Gave up on it.
Just today i thought to play Campaign the. First the Audio turned off on my whole Pc, then it crashes after every mission due to not being able to connect to Backend. Why would it need backend connection in campaign video sequences anyway?

Just don't EA.

The best roguelike ever made. I have now been playing for 77 hours and progressing only by gaining knowledge feels so rewarding.

Final Fantasy XIV and the Return of the Walking Simulator

I played this game with some friends as we heard of the great story this game shall provide.
We kept grinding through the main quest as we got told it would get better.
After ~82 hours of gameplay and being above level 70 we just surrendered.
The story feels like a power rangers plot.
The combat is just clicking through your perfect rotation with a few random proccs that do nothing special.
The crafting system was quite some fun but even that gets repetetive on higher levels.
60% of the play time is just spent by walking between people even though those npcs got telephones.
I loved playing games of square enix a dozen years ago but given the horrible pc port of Nier Automata
and this grind fest i just surrender.

Early Access Review
The game has a nice flow, and i will keep playing it.
There are some things that would enhance my experience:
I just played 3 runs but i ended two of them after 2hours + without dying as i had to do other things.
It would thus be nice to continue the last run as this rogue like has quite time consuming sessions.
I like all those power ups but i have almost no control to choose from them or create a specific build. Even replacing power ups is totally random.
Maybe that comes later in the game of is being planned? Would definitely be nice and allow for more planning ahead like in a deck builder.
Lastly i do not like the music as the melody itself gets so annoying. Being able to switch that out would be great.

Keep it going, you are doing a good job.

Releases have always been filled with bugs, the game only starts to feel whole with upcoming content. But it is tremendous fun playing it with friends and there are not much alternatives for that kind of strategy games.
I hope it will keep going for quite a bit longer as we are lacking this kind of games.

Just got trough it and i gotta say its pretty much like the Enemy Unknown. It got a bit more polishment and diversity. There are still some bugs in it, but some of it got charm. The overall presentation is quite good. The difficulities are very challenging and i am glad i got through before the playstyle got too repetetive. There could be more mission types and stealth is almost impossible, although there would be a lot of potential in it. I hope to see it in upcoming games. The hacking is just a luck-meter. Eve-Online or Warframe implemented interesting hacking minigames which could avoid that and make it a bit more fair. The early game can be quite frustrating as soldiers do not have enough health to withstand (critical) hits and are pretty much grilled on long range behind cover regularily. It gets better as soon as the health pool allows healing. Failing so ith (Overwatch) shots on close range feels a bit awkward. There should be a point at which proficient soldiers do not miss on stunned enemies on melee range.
I look forward to the dlc. Good job guys.

(There is nothing as funny as a mind controlled Andromedon which walks up stairs, but crushes it at the same time and falls down.)
