Hired elves. Paid them so much to destroy their gambling hall they did so with great pleasure.

Though I, too, am against taxes.

11/10 would spread managed Democracy again.
Anyone who says otherwise is either a socialist bot or socialist bug in disguise, and needs to be submitted to democracy camp for re-education.

Remember that time Zeus's libido didn't cause a Greek Myth?
This is that time. (For the most part.)

Early Access Review
I came. I saw. I shot hundreds of men with bow & arrows, clearing out >10% of the men in a massive siege solo. I conquered.

This game is pretty great. Something important to mention, beyond this game there are two expansions being released. The first of which is "Co-op" mode, which to me sounds pretty awesome. Working with allies to achieve goals as opposed to merely doing PVP. The second is Adventure mode which is in a large massive world with factions which will involve PVE and (presumably) PVP. There will be towns that must be secured and given raw supplies to turn into useful supplies. Honestly, I'm bad at writing reviews, but I should also mention that their moderators and PR people are pretty awesome and like to help resolve issues and their customer service is great. I've been looking at posts made by their moderators and they seem like pretty good people, being both respectful and kind even if the person that any given moderator is talking to doesn't show them the same courtesy.
Well, that is all for my review. Gonna go prepare my IRL friends for Co-op mode when it releases. May your aim be true and may your balloon never set fire. Farewell!

Honestly, I'm fond of this game. I come from RTSes such as SC2 and WC3, and I've played demos of Civilization games. I was never really fond of turn by turn games because they enabled almost to much vision of the enemy movements and thus it was very predictable. Additionally, you could legitimately see turns ahead in those games due to the simplicity of combat and enemy AI.
I'm proud to say XCOM: Enemy Unknown is entirely different than that. While it is turn based combat, having two "Actions" per turn is something you don't see in many turn-by-turn games, and with that different classes for your units with different actions they can do, and the permanence when a soldier dies all add up to a very strategically intense game.
Some of the naysayers complain the game is to easy. I'm willing to bet those naysayers haven't yet tried the game on Hardcore on maximum difficulty with "Second Wave" options on. If they did, they would likely rescind their earlier statements and cringe as the enemies beat them every time. Every. Single. Time.
Truly, this game is quite fun and worth the money!
