Best free game I've played in a long long time. Would have been happy paying $10 for it. Old school rouge-like at it's finest.

This game is great. It's a solid FPS with upgradable weapons and skills. It has a TON of graphical options that let you custom tailor the game to look nice and clean (like in the screenshots), or to retro it up and add scanlines, CRT effects, and way more. The only thing I wish this game had was the ability to customize the sound too. The sound/music is great, don't get me wrong, but it would be awesome to fake it to sound like an old SB16, adlib, or even just "PC Speaker".

I bought this on Thursday night and I have 31 hrs played. I also have a kid and a full time job. That's how much I love this game already.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. First, I love the concept, graphics, and heart behind this survival game. Single player is enjoyable, but it takes a little more thinking b/c some recipies will simply have to go unlearned - you only have so many points and compromises must be made. Multiplayer can be amazing at times. Learning to work as a team to achieve goals, each person semi-specializing so that the group has everything they need, etc. But, this is also where my hate comes in.

Multiplayer can be insanely brutal on a pvp server. Mind you, this is by design, and for a lot of people this is what they are looking for. Personally, I don't have the free time to come back and rebuild everything I had the day before, because some higher level person decided to knock my house over with their dino, then steal everything I have and kill me in the process. Keep in mind, there are PvE servers, and I should probably join one of them, but something tells me the pvp at high levels is fun as heck....it's just getting to that point that irks me.

Up front: this is more of an interactive movie than game. There is some exploration, mostly in the form of items within the rooms, and on-screen prompts, but that's about it. Don't let that discourage you from checking out this game. The story line is fantastic, the main character is interesting, and if you can get through to the end everything is explained. Being a movie, one would ask how the acting is. Personally, I don't get that critical of such things. The story pulled me in, none of the actors did anything that forced me back into reality, that's all I ask for.

The length of the game is a couple hours, not long, but I am definately not regretting this purchase at all. In fact, I will probably go through it again just to get the remaining achievements - which I don't often do.

I finished my first playthrough of this about 15 minutes ago and I have to say, it is a great game. Having never played a Tex Murphy game prior to this had zero impact on the enjoyment level of this. What needed to be explained was explained and even silly things from the previous games (ala video) was sprinkled in from time to time. My only gripes are minor ones: ladders are strangely slow to operate and sometimes things are overly hidden.

If you enjoy a good mystery/adveture game, and can appreciate the silliness of a sarcastic, noir detective living in a future with holograms, mutants, and flying cars, this is for you. I know I'll be playing this over again soon.

This game is great. 3 modes of play, usually there are games you can join, or people will join yours. It works well, it does what it's supposed to, and the defense mode does take some forethought if you plan to get more than a dozen levels in. Def worth the $2 they are asking. I suggest getting the 3 pack (that's what I did). Games are always better with friends.

Absolutely love this game. Having to piece together this story from hundreds of short clips, from numerous police interviews, was far more challenging and fun than it sounds. You can set aside any clips you want, tag them with your own tags, but ultimately figuring out the real story is the name of the game. I don't know how many times I thought I had it figured out, only to see a single clip that ended up taking me in another direction. I cannot praise this game enough.

Does it have replay value? I suppose it depends how well the narrative sticks with you. I'll come back to it in a year or two and see, but something tells me that I'm not going to forget this game for a very long time. Even if it's a one and done, it's still well worth the pricetag.

Love this game!! It's a grid based, dungeon crawling style RPG that is full of puzzles and monsters. The island is, for the most part, explorerable in any order you choose, with tons of secret areas and treasures to hunt down. A def buy if you're into the old, not-Heroes, Might and Magic series.
