I am a massive fan of this game, I played the demo and when I got the full game I accidentally played through the entire story in one sitting ヽ(ヅ)ノ

Love the visuals, the pixel style, menus, movement, and even the story cutscenes are so nostalgic but also new at the same time.
Inside the actual levels the ship controls are the perfect amount of slippery you would expect from space while still being able to maintain full control with a lil practice. I love the wrapping feature of going off screen to the right and appearing on the left, just like the Atari game Asteroids.
Upgrades and weapons are super fun to grind for and through, even under the crushing weight of debt（＾ｖ＾）
The music is very nice to listen too as well for the duration of play, really well done!

There are also multiple endings for the story dependent on choices you make throughout gameplay, some have immediate effects and other determine how events play out in the later stages!

Overall one of the games I will recommend to people when they ask, and one I will continue to jump into every now and then to scratch that collect and upgrade itch that follows me around lol

Half-Life Alyx was the first first Half-Life game that I played, I knew a little about the overall story beforehand and it seemed to be the best first-time VR game because of the general high quality Valve puts into their work and the game was built to show off the capabilities of the Valve Index. Immediately after finishing Half-Life Alyx I switched to the original Half-Life and it was a leap and a half.
Going from VR where the textures, motion, and dialogue HAVE to be so good that you become fully immersed in the world, almost as if you were really there, straight into 1998 blocky design, slidy controls, and somewhat still good sound design surprisingly, it was a massive juxtaposition to be sure.
Although you cant even compare the too games on any level that would even be fair because of the technology difference, they both have one thing in common, fantastic story telling that keeps you playing because you want to know more... and also survive.
Now its time to move to Half-Life 2, I hope the 2004 graphics are better and the storytelling stays the same!

I would recomend this game, but i do not have the computer to run this game at good frame rate. Make sure you reed the requirments before you buy this game, or any other game for that matter.
