What a great game, spent many hours on it, completed it several times over with all sorts of different strategies. Most of them involving one or two main damage dealers and a 4 support bots either buffing range/damage/armour, placing mines or deploying attack drones in varying combinations.

The RNG is a little frustrating I'm not going to lie, I've played a lot of runs just trying to get one particular body piece I've used before but can't seem to get anymore. It has forced me to develop new tactics though and make the most of what I've got.

I've actually unlocked everything now and stacked up most of the perpetual bonuses you buy between runs, I'd like another ending, or reward for completion, as I'm not overly drawn to challenge mode at this stage (not with the RNG).

Overall though, the artwork is great, the combinations are awesome and there's plenty of enemy variety to keep you on your toes and punish you for treating every fight as if it were the same.

I wish I could get a refund on this, unfortunately it took the 4.3 hours I played it to get to grips with the way it worked. I did still try and request a refund but I obviously was declined so I thought it best to warn people looking at it.

This isn't a survival game, and nothing you earn, gather or collect will improve your combat abilities (not even your effectiveness in pve) everything you earn is to unlock cosmetics. You can take out other people's ships but you won't have anything to show for it...

You don't buy bigger ships, there's 3 to choose from and you can choose whichever one you want whenever you want, if you lose your ship, you just respawn and get a new one.

I was hoping to upgrade my ship, my gear, take down other players and bigger ships and there to be a point to it. There's just no reason to keep playing it for me personally, I get that other people will like this but it's not for me.

I just dont enjoy this game anywhere near as much as any of the total war games I've played over the years but I love the additional campaign mechanics that have been added.

One problem for me is the number of factions, and people within each faction, even the number of people in my own faction are impossible to keep track of. Every turn that goes by I get told about things happening and it's all too much to remember the names of these people. The game doesn't give you the opportunity to review who on earth the notification or decision to be made is about before you make the decision. It's extremely frustrating to be forced to make a decision about a characters future with no explanation or background on who they are but just being told their name.

The other thing is the campaign, I'm playing in records mode because I'm not interested in having heroes dominating the battlefield over hundreds of soldiers. Ultimately its too slow and not enough interesting battles for the first few hours of gameplay due to boring starting units with no diversity, low numbers of units in armies so formation doesnt matter and few armies that are hindered by supplies and long resupply or replenishment times.

They need better mechanics for making it clear who these people are and the ability to seek counsel or investigate a character or faction before you're forced to accept/decline or make a decision about that character.

It ran terribly on my machine, which runs GTA V on Very High/Ultra. It also kept crashing.
got an i7 with 16G Ram and 4G nvidea graphics card.

But even when I did play a few games, it was just kind of boring, the multyplayer maps are just too small and there are hardly any maps. I thought Homeworld 2 was awesome, but obviously didn't have much expectation of the maps on that ha.

Also I feel the units are a bit dull. I don't know what I expected really but my excitement was short lived when I actually bought the game. I've never left a bad review before, but I paid more for this than most games and enjoyed it a lot less.
