Early Access Review
Windblown is a fantastic game that continues to get frequent and interesting updates. The game is basically Hades but with a completely different art style and up to 3-p[layer multiplayer. The gameplay loop strikes a really good balance of challenge while still feeling fair. There's a lot to love here and the developers have shown no sign of slowing down their progress with this game. Give this game a go if you're looking for a super solid experience that keeps evolving.

Final Fantasy V has the best job system in the FF series and it not really particularly close. The depth of what you can do with the game gives it an insane replay value. This version of the game also has extra jobs and endgame content that the more modern pixel remaster lacks.

The most common criticism from others of this version is the visuals. Personally it did not bother me. Visually the game is perfectly serviceable. I'd even argue the enemy sprites here in particular are the best of any version of FFV.

All that said, this particular version is no longer purchasable on Steam, so... If you have it kicking around in your library somehow, play it.

I had no expectations going into A Way Out. What started out as a neat buddy-themed romp through a prison break sequence and an escape through the woods turned into a surprisingly emotionally charged story full of twists and two distinct endings that wound up being tearjerkers.

The game is not very long. It takes about 5 to 6 hours on a leisurely pace. Therefore, I can't say with confidence it would be worth the full $30 price tag for most people. The game is also exclusively co-op, so it's worth planning ahead to play this game with a friend before committing to a purchase.

If you have a good friend to play the game with and the game is on a decent sale, consider giving A Way Out a shot. It's a good time.

Crazy good game! The story is great, the levels are fun, the general vibe screams 90s which is always a treat. It's insane that the first time Sega tried to make Sonic in 3D it came out really great. It's a shame they don't make Sonic games like this anymore. Boost-style games are fun and all, but the Adventure games give the player a sense of control that is unrivaled in the Sonic series.

Biggest flaw: Missions 53 and 54. If you know, you know.

Fe is a truly gorgeous game. The minimalist art design is charming, the color palettes are very appealing, and the music is simple yet stunning. Every element of the game comes together to create an immersive experience. Virtually any individual screenshot of this game could be framed as art due to the expressive nature of the game’s world.

Although Fe is by no means a hard game, it doesn’t hold your hand through the journey of discovery. Ultimately your goal is to explore the world to progress and piece together a story that is told through visuals alone. Not a single word is spoken throughout. There are several spots where the music compliments the story for emphasis and to enhance the already memorable set pieces. Without spoiling too much, the first time climbing the deer spirit is a breathtaking feast for the eyes and ears. The ending of the game is similarly fantastical, but that should be experienced to understand what I mean.

If the game seems too simplistic, bear in mind that it will not overstay its welcome. The game is very short and can reasonably be completed is a few hours. Shooting for completion will see you exploring and conquering creative environmental puzzles that, while not necessary to complete the game, are a welcome addition.

I only have two complaints with the game. First is that there does not seem to be any kind of fast travel system. Even after completing the story, you still have to manually go everywhere, which can make hunting down pink crystals you may have missed feel like more of a chore. This is a bigger problem for completionists, but it would have been helpful for the average player as well. There's no reason to not have a quick travel system in the post-game at least. My other complaint is that you need to be logged into an EA account to play this game. It really feels like an unnecessary restriction for a single player game.

Overall, Fe is an experience that anybody with a taste for 3D Metroidvanias and/or artful expression in video games can find enjoyment. Definitely try it out if you can.

This game is an absolute classic. Fun to play, fun to practice getting better at it. The game provides intensity from action stages and relaxation chilling with the Chao, a brilliant range.

Also, playable Robotnik. That's worth at least a 6 out of 10 baseline.

Rocket Knight Adventures is one of if not the best 2D platformers from the 90s. The collection would be worth it for the first game alone, but you also get the other two 16 bit games, making this a well rounded experience. Even if the other two don't live up to the original there are still things to like about them. If you've never had the chance to play any of these games you owe it to yourself to try out these classic titles from a golden age when Konami used to actually make games.
