WE'VE WON!!

Sony has been kicked the the curb with their PSN bs. So editing my review to positivist!!

-------------------------------------------------------
For the records on 06/05/2024
-------------------------------------------------------
Forcing PSN on to PC players is not logical with the "features" and "Benefits" Sony mentions it offers.
-------------------------------------------------------
Benefits consist of:
- Loss of card details
- Loss of account details
- Loss of personal details
- Loss of access to a game if your found spoofing your connection on your PSN account if you cannot access PSN in your country of Origin.
All this on a yearly basis. Guaranteed!.
-------------------------------------------------------
People play on PC to avoid all this junk-ware mass market bs. Already taking a risk downloading this game because of nProtect being a root level anti-cheat. Adding PSN on-top of that will result in a world of pain.

Outside of all that. Arrowhead created a good game, But once again it is up to the Publisher to slander Developers hard work with their sleazy marketing ploys. Just like Take2 with GTAV Modding and EA.

All publishers are a hindrance and stunt the growth of games.

Early Access Review
Played 2.4 hours so far. My Honest opinion. it's a okay game. In it's current state and price. Would i recommend it. No.
I know this is early access. But for the price ( £44.99 ) you would expect this to be further along with not so much loose ends.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe further down the line my impressions may change and i can give this a better review. but for now not so much. Further info below:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've ran in to a lot of issues whiles playing. to list a couple:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Control surfaces not working correctly and randomly inverting in flight.
- When you disconnect in staging. Game thinks your craft has not split. So when the two parts move away from each other. The camera goes on a walk (Toggling camera modes does not fix this).
- When you disconnect in staging. Issues seen with control surfaces flapping. Little to no control even when the craft is at 100% health.
- When using a fairing, many stage disconnects and other parts. The game crashes and is un-recoverable. Loosing progress (This is persistent).
- Landing gear when at the front of the craft still suffers from friction like the previous ones did in KSP 1.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So far that is all i have experienced.

Early Access Review
Was happy when i first got the game, played over 99 hours. The with the release of 0.1.6 (i think) there was a game wipe. Meaning all progress was lost on my side. This will probably happen many more times before the game release, so i recomend the game if you don`t care about loosing progress in the game/you are going to get the game after release.

But in this current condition (with much hate to say. kind of brought on due to the progress wipe) i would not recomend this game. Unless on release they give closed beta players a boost in knowlage.

Come on guys, two years in the making. in the best years for video games and graphic potential and you greately screwed it up. a game i would most likely compare this too is space engineers after playing 500+ hours on it. thought this game would have the playability of being able to log that many hours as well.

Great consept as long as you get your optimzations right. a lot of people have said it is the graphics but it is not, it would basically be the processor as this is a randomly generating creater, planet, system and so on based game, but i feel after play a good couple of hours that it has been executed poorly.

looking at the console version of this game, it looks fine and plays fine too, but i feel like the pc version was a rushed thing to please the pc usesers.

All and all i would say at this point in time the game is a great idea, but is not worth £40 and because of that i`ll probably not recomend it to pc users.

I can remember the first day I started playing Robocraft, bloody loved it, great games play and so on, fun to build and the sort of game you would entice a friend to go to.

But some of the changes made to the reword system in the game has impacted on how I feel about the game. I’m not talking about the drops. I’m talking about the old way of getting parts. Currency GC and RP that use to be in the former game I use to take part of.
The crate system has made it a lot harder to get the things you may want, need or just want to try out. Yes, there may be a recycling system to get rid of parts that may drop and you may not want, but there is no point in that as the give out is so low for doing so, would take probably 50 crates to get the sort of weapon/gear you may want for your robot if the rank of part is high enough.

When the currency in the game was RP, it would take me about 2-3 games to get one of the weapons I wanted as I would be earning about 22,000 each game, maybe more if it was really good, but now all you get is a crate (depending on how the game went, different ranking of crate) that may or may not have the item you want and long for.

One of the larger weapons in the game cost probably about 128,000, would be no sweat to get with the RP currency system, but with the part recycling it would take a hell of a lot of parts to be recycled to get to that currency level; with the levelled stuff you get out the crates, you`ll be at it for a while as let`s say a middle rank SMG goes for 1,002…. You have to sell about roughly 128, give or take 1…… that is a lot.

In that fact I would strongly move people away from playing this game as to be honest it is not worth it. Not anymore.

UPDATE SINCE 06 AUGUST 2018...
the state of the game has gone to even worse levels. they have gotten rid of the box system and brought back the tech tree. though in the process screwing me over due to things i had before then getting locked. meaning that i got set back a good week or so in parts. i`ve been playing this game for a while now. even added a bit of money here and there for some items. but this update is completely stupid.

i don`t mind the update, but setting me back the way they did, is unthickable to a customer standard point.

Feels like any old free to play game, except with the annoyance of getting the same old drop time and time again. if you don`t like games that make you rage. don`t bother with this one. so if someone told me to recomend this game. i would say you decide as it is a game that either people like or hate.
