It's immediately obviously broken within the first minute of gameplay. It's like they didn't even play test in the slightest. Wait until they fix it.

It's a fine enough MMORPG if you're into the grind. But every system around actually getting access to the game is complete and utter trash. You have to manage multiple separate Square Enix accounts, and the link to your Steam account. If you start playing on Steam, you cannot access the game outside of Steam. If at any time you purchase a subscription, you can never go back to the free to play model. At some point they might delete your Square Enix account without warning, like they did for me. That will put you into a position where you can no longer play on Steam, even after creating a new account, because your registration key has already been redeemed.

Square Enix doesn't deserve your money.

Game no longer works. All text, characters, and UI elements are just massive black boxes. Please fix.

Game has a lot of promise, but it no longer appears to be under development, and is very incomplete in its current state. I would not recommend buying until such a time when active development continues, if that ever happens.

In addition to its addictive strategy gameplay, this game truly makes you feel attached to your units. When your sniper that you just got to max level gets critical hit from half way across the map by a basic enemy unit, I won't like, you're probably going to cry.

Fantastic game, but with some technical issues. The game sometimes has trouble determining where you're actually clicking on ramps, and in multi-floor areas. I've also had a couple full freezes where I had to restart the game and lose progress. I am playing on Linux, but some google searching shows that these issues occur on all platforms.

This game is well worth playing. I'm 17 hours in, and I'm not quite done yet. I'm thinking I'm probably 75% through, but it's hard to say. Looking forward to XCOM 2. If it's anything like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, but without the bugs, it'll be a fantastic game.
